Dick Tracy is a comic strip featuring Dick Tracy, a hard-hitting, fast-shooting and intelligent police detective. Created by Chester Gould, the strip made its debut on October 4, 1931, in the Detroit Mirror. It was distributed by the Chicago Tribune New York News Syndicate. Gould wrote and drew the strip until 1977.


Most of us rememeber the "great?" movie from 1990 staring Warren Beatty. it did not hold up well with time at all, but i thought it was great as a kid.

Rumored, in 2014 Frank Miller is to work on a version of Dick Tracy for his next project

In the comic strip this year they tried to revamp by haveing a new creative team take over the news paper comic strip, artist Joe Staton and writer Mike Curtis tok over in march
