After posting my article, "NSFW: 15 Sexiest COMIC BOOK MOVIE Scenes Ever," I all of sudden had a renewed interest in 1990's Dick Tracy. After doing a little bit of research, I came across the official website for Hollywood makeup artist, John Caglione Jr.. He worked on the film, and his collaborations with Al Pacino went so swimmingly that Caglione became Al's personal makeup artist for all of his following films. Anyway, on John's website, he had images of Al Pacino trying on some different prosthetics and makeup combinations.
Al Pacino actually designed Big Boy Caprice's make-up himself and completely re-imagined the character, who was originally big and fat in the comics with a little nose. Caprice's resulting film counterpart is of average height with enlarged hands, nose, and cheekbones, hence his street name. - IMDB

Legendary police detective Dick Tracy is the only man tough enough to take on gangster boss Big Boy Caprice and his band of menacing mobsters. Dedicated to his work but at the same time devoted to his loyal girlfriend, Tess Trueheart, Tracy find himself torn between love and duty. His relentless crusade against crime becomes even more difficult when he gets saddled with an engaging orphan and meets seductive and sultry Breathless Mahoney, a torch singer determined to get the best of Tracy. A faceless character, the Blank, threatens both Tracy and Big Boy, and it takes all of Tracy's skills to save the city.

Dick Tracy (1990) was produced, directed, and starred Warren Beatty. The screenplay was written by Jim Cash and Jack Epps, Jr., based on the 1930s comic strip character of the same name created by Chester Gould. Cast included: Al Pacino, Charles Durning, Madonna, Dustin Hoffman, William Forsythe, Glenne Headly, Paul Sorvino, Dick Van Dyke, and Charlie Korsmo. With a budget of $46 million, the film grossed $162 million worldwide box office.
