DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Had The Most-Viewed Trailer During This Year's Super Bowl

The Los Angeles Rams weren't the only big winners following Sunday's Super Bowl, as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' new trailer drew the most attention from fans. Moon Knight, however, didn't.

Not every studio decides to spend money on a pricey Super Bowl TV spot, but a lot of big titles received the spotlight this year as Hollywood continues to recover from the worst of the pandemic.

However, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was the clear winner as Deadline reports that it made the biggest impact in the 24 hours following the Big Game. The new trailer reportedly generated 93.12 million views in that period, with Jurassic World Dominion in second place with 86.82 million views.

Amazon will no doubt be happy to learn that its expensive new series, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, was in third place, though it was a big drop in terms of engagement from there.

The Adam Project, Nope, Marry Me, Uncharted, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 round out the list, and we are a little surprised that Moon Knight was back in 9th place with The Bad Guys in 10th! The upcoming Disney+ series did only receive a 30-second TV spot, and there's weren't exactly any major reveals in there to get fans talking (in fact, it mostly used footage from the first trailer).

Clearly, Marvel Studios needs to increase interest in Moon Knight over the coming weeks, especially as the character is a relative unknown to non-comic book fans (and even those who read them!).

So how is this measured as during Super Bowl, when it also includes 24 hours after? Gues viewing numbers during the break would be much closer. And how long is the halftime even, since it also has that 15 minute show?

I'm sure a few million rewatches were specifically for the Xavier moment. It was a fire trailer.

Wonder how Moon Knight ended up so low. Probably should have dropped before the Multiverse of Madness trailer gobbled up the Marvel convo

I'm surprised at how high up on the list Lord of the Rings is, considering the outrage over Beardgate.

@DoubleD - yeah probably best he shows up on Disney before his own movie although a cameo beforehand would’ve helped too but Idk what movie- oh I know! Eternals.

@TheWalkingCuban - No one seen Moon Kight yet to soon call it one of the best shows. Problem Moon Knight has is no one even knows who he is.

Hardcore Marvel fan and I didn't even know who Moon Knight was.

I had to watch 18 times just to figure what the heck I was looking at. Definitely were some sci-fi horror vibes with this one. I like that Marvel has been a bit more experimental with some of the Disney+ stuff and this movie. Honesty, I was getting bored with the formula and never expected things to go in this direction.
