While a S.H.I.E.L.D movie isn’t exactly what I consider a priority for Marvel Studios, The Avengers is the perfect opportunity for them to introduce plenty of new characters regardless of whether or not it becomes a reality. They could then feature in other movies (instead of only Nick Fury and Agent Coulson) while characters like Jessica Drew, Tony Masters and Carol Danvers could eventually be established into becoming their better know superhero counterparts and spinning off into other films and their own franchises. Below are my choices for the S.H.I.E.L.D agents I’d like to see make their way to the big screen in the near future.
Jennifer Beals as Abigail Brand
Not much is known about Abigail since little has been revealed about her personal life. Aside from her age, the only thing known about her is that she is a commanding officer of both S.H.I.E.L.D. and S.W.O.R.D. which are dedicated to the defending the Earth against extraterrestrial threats.
