Although Elena Satine is an incredible talent, and what is unordinary is that her talent actually exceeds her earth shattering good looks... is it really feasible to still be rooting for her as Mary Jane Watson?
She has the total package and is the best possible actress for MJ but I dont know that the rumors of her actually having a shot at the role is true. It seems to me at least, that if she does not even have a shot it just seems like a hopeless attempt on our part to get her the role.
It just seems to good to be true, and I dont know how Sony would have really known about her prior to her possibly auditioning. I would imagine for a major film like 'Spider-Man', Sony would have had to know about Elena somehow... unless, was she in a film done by Sony? I dont know... at least that would explain them knowing about her.
The only thing that really gives me hope she will play Mary Jane is two things...
1) On Twitter she always does not confirm or deny that she will play Mary Jane. This could mean that at least she is in the running... because if she really had no chance she would have just denied it.
2) She tweeted that Stan Lee hugged her and gave her "his blessings". Why else would Stan the Man give her his blessings other then her taking on one of his characters?
I just am truly puzzled... thoughts? I think we REALLY need to try harder to let Sony know all of us will not accept another actress as Mary Jane Watson, unless it is ELENA SATINE!
'Spider-Man' will be directed by Marc Webb and will star Andrew Garfield and hopefully Elena Satine!
