Here's my 2nd IMAGE COMICS FANCAST, WITCHBLADE, just in time
for HALLOWEEN! I chose it for this time because it's got SUPERNATURAL
overtones so I figured it would be perfect for “ALL-HALLOWS-EVE”!
“HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYBODY!!!!!”
WITCHBLADE'S first comic book issue came in NOVEMBER. 1995! I've
loved this character since I first read about her in the Comics Industry
bible, PREVIEWS MAGAZINE, from DIAMOND COMICS DISTRIBUTORS,INC. and
read the first issue! WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE for a red-blooded AMERICAN
Male comics nut???
Since the first day I saw the late genius, MICHAEL TURNER'S, beautiful
artwork on this comic volume I was hooked! I've collected this comic
religiously ever since! I just loves me some SARA PEZZINI!
Now, they made this a series on TNT TV but I wasn't very enamored with
the lead actress, YANCY BUTLER! I thinks she's a good actress, I just
thought she was a bit too masculine-looking & sounding for the highly-
feminine yet tough, model-beautiful comic character! Plus Sara just kind
of had this magical Medieval gauntlet with a sword and it wasn't very
spectacular!
I want to see SARA in story-boarded sequences like this comic's page here,
with WITCHBLADE metal fluidly flying all around her, like the tentacles
of some mad-man's beautiful metallic nightmare octopus, to armor her
with wicked shrill scraping metal-on-metal Sound-FX!
THE ORIGIN STORY:
Sara went undercover to an auction at the Rialto Theater. KENNETH
IRONS, the man who at that time owned the WITCHBLADE, was attempting to unlock
the powers of the Witchblade by allowing anyone to bid and try it on. Her
partner, Michael Yee, was captured and beaten badly. As the enemies were about
to shoot Yee, Sara jumped in front of the bullets. As Sara was dying on the
ground, the Witchblade decided to choose Sara as its new bearer. The
Witchblade healed all her wounds and gave her the power to defeat her enemy.
Unfortunately, she could not save Yee from dying, who was hit by a bullet anyways.
The “WITCHBLADE” is sentient ancient alien-tech, called the
“ANGELUS”, that was male in gender and only chose a female worthy
to meld with. Since Sara performed a selfless deed in trying to shield her
partner from the spraying bullets it deemed SARA worthy to be “HIS”
host and brought her back from the brink of death to save her life.
PLATINUM DUNES are working with ARCLIGHT along with MARC
SILVESTRI of TOP COW, to bring WITCHBLADE to the big screen
tentatively in 2013 and MICHAEL RYMER of TV'S BATTLESTAR
GALACTICA is purportedly producing and directing.
But MATT HAWKINS one of the producers spoke to NEWSARAMA
and said, “We turned down a few direct-to-DVD possibilities and held out
for more of what we were looking for,” confirming the theatrical release
plans. “I've always respected MARC SILVESTRI'S position on other
media development: that he'd rather there not be a film, game, or
whatever than be some one-off piece of sh!t. Of course this is subjective,
one man's piece-of-sh!t could certainly be another man's favorite film...
heh. Getting a live action film going with a female lead is tough though!”
Man he's not kidding but if I had the chance to produce this movie I
wouldn't hesitate with the lead actress I have in mind. She is the only one
I can think of with enough Box Office Moxie...
Now some have said ANGELINA JOLIE for the part and others KATE
BECKINSALE but I think they are both too old now and KATE is too
short. Another suggestion was JILL WAGNER from BLADE, the TV
series. Well, she's sexy as hell but I don't think she has the star power.
I think it should be the actress who won the part in THE A-TEAM “from”
JILL WAGNER.....JESSICA BIEL!

died anyway!
WILL YUN LEE—Played him in the TV series, he also was in the new
BIONIC WOMAN on TV & the ELEKTRA movie. He is just fine for the part
again, with me!

SARA'S father, Vincent “Frank” Pezzini, was a police officer at the NYPD.
Vincent’s partner was JOE SIRY, who is the Captain at Sara’s precinct. Frank
was shot and killed while he was on duty. Sara doesn't know where her mother
is.

when it melded with SARA.

KENNETH IRON'S Merc main assistant, highly trained & deadly who
wields the infamous EXCALIBUR sword.
IAN NOTTINGHAM: JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS
Sara continues working as an NYPD homicide detective with the WITCHBLADE now
attached to her. She also works with a partner named JAKE McCARTHY. The two of
them grow close to each other, and JAKE becomes determined to find out more
about his partner. However, Sara is reluctant to tell him much about her. Sara
is later told about the killer of her father from the Captain of the 18th
precinct Joe Siry. She learns that a criminal known as the MICROWAVE MURDERER
was the killer of her father. Sara sets out to bring the “at-large” criminal
in. When Sara finally confronts the Microwave Murderer, DANNETTE BOUCHER, she
tells Sara that she was not the one that killed her father.
DANNETTE was a former bearer of the Witchblade who still has a piece
of it in her. She has to release it's energy eventually, every-so-often, so she
releases it into someone and their insides are cooked, killing them gruesomely!
Thus they are called the “MICROWAVE MURDERS! She owns her own modeling agency.
