While in an interview with MTV, the cast of the upcoming Fantastic Four film were asked whether the film would have a post-credits sequence to which Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm/The Thing) responded with "No we don't. There's no post-credit sequence". Jamie Bell did go on to say that the film "leaves the door wide open for a lot of different movies". Most likely hints toward the Fantastic Four sequel and maybe also some hints toward the X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover film.

Jamie Bell also spoke about the focus of the film and how it's about "the origins of each character indiviually, how they get their powers, how they learn to deal with them". Hear the full interview in the videow below.

This film feels very claustrophobic, I love it, such a horror feel that I think already separates it from most others in the genre.
Haters will hate no matter what, even when they've seen it, it's impossible for a hater to have an open mind going to see it.

But it looks good so far. If any Marvel property could work well with a pure science fiction feel then it's Fantastic Four, but it still seems they're keeping their core value of family also

Cool, it'd be really stupid to do a post credits scene in your first movie because you risk having the Green Lantern effect.

@CherryBomb

Yeah I agree, I actually read numerous magazine articles where they expressed how the film would embrace family elements and though it is going to have a horror/sci-fi vibe to it the thematic elements focusing on the true birth of these iconic heroes in the end is what has me very interested in this take on the film and possibilities of it's future as well.

Probably gonna piss some off but with a budget of only $122mil it's virtually impossible for this movie to flop.

Unless it's a bad movie.

But I doubt it.

Tried tagging a link to comicbook . com which showcased an interview with Kebell about his Doom costume(s) but it won't work. For anyone interested in reading you can check it out there.

At this point I just really hope they don't cross over

Their finally starting to get X-Men right, I don't want FF to take away screen time from the X-Men, and I like that the word "Mutant" stands for something in the X-Men universe. Bring in the FF and that goes away

If anything have Trank do a trilogy then share rights with Marvel

Plus it's actually a smart idea holding off on the 3D if it was going to be a rushed process and a cash grab seeing that they are still in the process of putting the last polishes on the 2D cut. Rather watch the 2D then get the 3D only to be disappointed with rushed conversion.

This will certainly enlighten the idiotic haters who say that they wont try and stay true to the comics. I don't think any of the characters esthetically look like there comic book counterparts, but that can change that completely if they do sequels. It sound like this movie is a set up to everything in the comics....Latveria,original costumes, classic villains, and hey if it bombs(which I highly doubt it will) then Marvel gets the rights back.

3D is awful these days. I'm happy it's not in 3D.
I saw Avengers 2 in 3D, it was a huge waste.

@CherryBomb Sometimes it's warranted. I'd recommend Seeing Ant-Man in IMAX 3D. I caught that 6 minute clip in front of Jurassic World, It was pretty sweet. But I'm like you sometimes I skip the like I said depends on the movie.

@YoungThanos

It took 6 years for them to officially start production but only "4" months for them to complete shooting. They originally planned on doing the 3D release but it seems as if reshoots halted up their time from having the 3D finished. Either way, it's all about timing and in this case bad timing halted the process Thanos.

I'll still save a seat for you. :)

Hard to tell if this movie will make enough to justify its reboot from the studio that has already butchered the franchise twice. Seriously, how could anyone support this movie knowing who is pulling the strings? The Deadpool trailer pretty much just showed everything that's wrong about Fox's methods when it comes to adapting comic books, the complete opposite of what they should be doing. To put it simply, there would be greater gain to boycott this film than to actually see it, because I sincerely doubt people would object to a well-made, faithful adaptation that places the canon within the MCU. What is so great about the trailers that makes people not want to see that?

my deadpool comments aren't worded correctly, but what I mean is that Deadpool puts all their other movies to shame in terms of faithfulness and quality.

I barely see films in 3D as well, the last movie I remember seeing in 3D was Prometheus and it was totally worth it. I've had both a good and bad share of 3D flicks so it honestly doesn't phase me when it's all about the story structure in the end. If/When the film does successfully without the need of 3D I believe it'll speak higher volumes of just what makes a good film a good film. Or how 3D could be used to make horrible movies better. Only time will tell.

Plus this film only needs to make $244million in return in order to break even.

$370million counting possible advertisement and promotion.

I'll give the film $600-680million by the end of it's run in October.

Just typed out an entire post towards you but the site wouldn't take my link when I posted it. But I was stating that I'm not sure how pro box office are getting their estimates but I wouldn't consider your evidence provided to be factual until tickets start to go on sale. I also stated that I may reconsider my estimates from $600-680million to $530-600million after really thinking about how 3D may tint it's numbers. (Days of Future Past) It worked for them but in comparison to this film the odds are low.

I'm really looking forward to the outcome out of all of this as I do believe it makes great sport.

Yeah, I mean, I'm trying to be nice towards their situation, but there just isn't anything promising here that could possibly make me think the alternative(joining the MCU) would suck. I'm not seeing it, and that's that, I'm just baffled at people's defensiveness towards the film when it is clear fox doesn't know or care about the characters. I watched a podcast with Kevin Smith where he discussed the fantastic four rights with the guy who created John Stewart, and he said that he suggested to some fox executives they should do Galactus and they thought he was nuts and it was a stupid concept, so he basically told them they're laying on a goldmine, and they're completely throwing it all away without even knowing it. I know they bought the rights fair and square, but I think they've had enough tries at the property to warrant a justifiable excuse to sell the rights.

"I'm just saying that it's pathetic to make it sound like people are hating just for the hell of it. Tell Fox to get their damn house in order!"

No one is making the accusation that everybody who hates the film SO FAR is looking for reasons to hate this film. Of course there are people who are hating the film for legitimate reasons. However, that doesn't change the fact that there are a LOT of people who are looking for reasons to hate on the film and are hoping the movie fails simply because it isn't from Marvel Studios. And people actually hoping a movie fails simply because it isn't from a certain studio is also pathetic.

As for Fox needing to get their house in order, they are doing just fine with the X-Men films. The X-Men films are being met with praise from both critics and audiences, and since the timeline relaunch, will start to be more like the comics.

And even if the film looks bad so far, remember to reserve full judgement for when you actually see it.

Lol, man I know I say it a LOT but I'm really going to take a break until August arrives. Being a supporter (and NOT defender as I have spoken out about things that I did and didn't like from this reboot) of this film has truly worn me out. I'm explaining to people outside of this site that Chris Evans is still in the MCU playing Captain America, the reasoning behind the previous franchise getting canceled and even more information about the Ultimates comics that will help them all understand this film in a much deeper context and it's just getting tiring...I'm hanging up the cape, turning off the signal..you name it! Though many may be extremely turned away from the different tone of this movie it's what actually gained my interest and lured me in. I love the approach and I love the cast talent involved in this project and what they have to offer.

I still think that many people confuse my open rationality for this film as a form of defense when it's totally not the case. I've seen people do the same exact thing I'm doing here on other films that they care about even when it wasn't enjoyed by the masses. I don't believe everything I hear on the internet until I actually hear specific details from the studio reps or director/producers involved in these properties. I've voiced my interest of seeing this film doing great or if possibly doing bad, doing great in the hands of the MCU for I do believe there are certain looks and feels they'll easily be able to use to catch the attention of more audience members out there.

I've given numerous films in the past a chance despite some of their red flags and I still found things to enjoy through it all. I don't hope for anyone's enjoyment but my own as we all have different things we look for within these films. What I will say is that I've read numerous interviews (that haven't been posted online of course) and they have actually whirled me in complete 180s from the things that I hear from "insiders" and of course the things that I hear from the people involved making the project. If there's one thing that I can respect about this film is the future building/etting up it's trying to do here and if handled correctly I will most certainly continue to be on board.

I honestly hope that whatever happens after this film happens for the best and for the best.

So many mixed feels on this one. On one hand, I want this movie to live up to all the bad press & suck out loud, guaranteeing there will be no shitty sequels & the rights revert back to Marvel for whatever phase 4 turns out being. On the other hand, who wouldn't want to see a great FF4 movie. The only thing this movie has going for with me is a good enough trailer to pique my interest to consider seeing it if the word of mouth is good, but this may be the one CBM I skip. Won't decide for about 3 weeks...
