Stephen Amell Teases A Big DC Comics Character Name-Drop Coming Up On ARROW

Arrow actor Stephen Amell previews what's in store for viewers in the remaining episodes of Arrow season 2. He also teases a big name-drop of a DC Comics character's name in a future episode. Who do you think it could be? The fact that he kept flubbing his lines due to his excitement means this should be a big namedrop indeed! Bruce Wayne? Lex Luthor? Clark Kent? The possibilities are endless.

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."

I know its just a name drop but I think we can agree Amell should cameo as Green Arrow or as Oliver Queen in a DCCU film.

r0njeremy, if this Mark kid deciphered the DC code...and he clearly did, then we have all sorts of guest stars coming up, dont limit yourself to Lex and the Trinity. The obvious answer must be Darkseid, Stephen Amell is basically giving it away with his wordplay. I know when I cant finish a sentence properly, it means Darkseid.

He walks in the same social circle as Bruce Wayne, so that's probably who it is.

Also, saw JLA: Trapped in Time this evening. It was surprisingly good; like a good episode of JL.
Now, I've just seen JL: War: F.UCKING AWESOME!!
Check out that post-credit scene!!

And this may be the first animated cbm that got away with saying the word "shit".

If it's Bruce or Lex, I swear I'm going to go crazy! Like jump around the neighborhood like a madman with joy. But it probably will never happen.
Super12
Super12 - 1/22/2014, 5:30 AM
My guess is Lex Luthor. It can be a tongue twister and it makes too much sense for a giant business mogul like Oliver Queen and Lex to know of eachother and probably work with eachother.
Pedrito

Name dropping is what got Agents of Shield were it is today. Wait..
Rokyn
Rokyn - 1/22/2014, 5:35 AM
Or maybe Nightwing? Are we really getting these characters? I remember when Smallville ran, they couldn't include nothing with Batman due to the movies, how crazy huh? But now we got shows like Gotham, Arrow, and Flash showing everyone and their mother. I think Constantine may be more separated though, like a side-alone story unless Del Toro is involved with that and the JL Dark movie. Wow I just wish WB was more clear on what the hell they are doing.
Rokyn
Rokyn - 1/22/2014, 5:40 AM
Or maybe DC Entertainment is becoming much more involved especially on Geoff Johns part since he has heavily co-plotted the second season of Arrow and he is writing and show running the Flash. Hopefully Johns has a hand in Batman/Superman and that he, Affleck, Snyder, and Goyer are teaming up in leading this new DC universe. Hopefully this isn't wishful thinking.

@Pedrito,

No, Agents of SHIELD being shit is what got it to where it is today.

@Batmaniac

I LOVED the team-up between Cap and Cyborg.
Hell, I loved all the pairings but those two were my favorite.
