Four or five months from now, we're going to be spoiled for choice when it comes to Baby Groot merchandise. Today, NECA has released a first look at their life-size version of the pint-sized sentient tree, and while it's definitely pretty cool, it's also...kind of creepy? Maybe it's just me, but that weird smile really doesn't do the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 character any sort of justice here.
The figure is set to be released next April, so you have plenty of time to decide whether or not it's something you'd be interested in investing in. Apparently, this Baby Groot is only going to cost $34.99, so that's not bad for fans on a budget! After all, you can bet your life that Hot Toys will come out with an even more accurate version, but expect to may as much as ten times as much for that one.
Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Kurt Russell, the movie will be released on May 5th.
