That was pretty terrible. Typical tone and visuals of the horrible Platinum Dunes remakes of classic horror movies. I'm glad this never happened. "Halloween" has always and will always be my favourite horror movie of all time.

Im not sure how to feel if Halloween gets remade again.

@LoudLon: I actually thought their "Friday the 13th" wasn't too bad (like killing everyone using skills you would learn at a camp) and "Nightmare on Elm Street"(although I was never a fan of the originals to begin with) had brief shining moments (such as the micro-naps and planting a seed of doubt as to whether Freddy was actually a child molester). But, let's be honest, there hasn't been a good slasher movie in a long time, no matter the company. The only exception to this would be "Behind the Mask:The Rise of Leslie Vernon"

@darkmetal: I really have nothing against "Rob Zombie's Halloween" ("Rob Zombie's H2" is a different story, however). I took it as an alternate universe in the Michael Myers mythos (akin to comic books). Although, I did find it very hypocritical that the chief complaint was that the original series had become to convoluted and with stories trying to explain why Michael Myers became "The Shape," but Dimension Films okayed Rob Zombie's version which gave Michael Myers a history and a reason for becoming what he became. But I do agree that the "good guy winning" endings should NOT be a part of the Horror genre. Of course, every now-and-then, it's OK if it's handled well (like in "Rob Zombie's Halloween" before the tacked-on that ridiculous sequel). The villain surviving, even after everything is thrown at them, leaves the audience with the feeling that this monster can't be killed. That is what makes a slasher scary. Not f*cked up childhoods, stupid twist endings, or cockamamie deformities. As for this animatic: I think it has potential. Of course it's a variation of the original. The original was terrifying. If this is handled properly, it could be just as terrifying without feeling recycled. But, that's just my opinion

I liked the hitcher remake

The remakes are solid re-imaginings with more substance to them. If they made them just like the originals then there would be zero point making them. The originals were some long make-it-up-as-you-go shit like Star Wars movies, just surviving on spectacle alone.

Me too bud, but I'd take the original Friday even without Jason in it over the original Halloween any day. Halloween gets boring to me.

i like rob zombies first hallowen but the 2nd didnt make much sense at all really... But this would of been cool to do, the art looks great Really i think it could of worked with the right story
