Iron Man 2 NOT in 3-D

Iron Man 2 NOT in 3-D

There was spectulation in September that Marvel was considering 3D, but MarketSaw has reported that they have a credible source explaining that the film will definitely NOT be in 3D.

"Jim here. Got some rather bad news for S3D fans out there. I have it from a very good source (one very much in the know) that IRON MAN 2 will NOT be made in stereoscopic 3D. It was being considered back in September of this year.

I am VERY disappointed to say the least as I thought the *FIRST* one should have been made in S3D - let alone the second. I think Marvel is wasting a valuable opportunity to get this done and of course they are leaving a lot of money on the box office table by not doing it as well.

I am digging for more info on this but from what I can tell you - it is a no go for 3D. I do know that IRON MAN 2 is not the ONLY property that Marvel is considering for S3D! More when I get it.
"

To tell you the truth, I am very glad this film is not in 3D. I feel it is just a an annoying gimmick for the studios to make more money. I really hope they don't try this with none of the Upcoming films, Thor, Captain America, and specially not The Avengers. And I truly hope Marvel doesn't add the 3D because of the third installment of Iron Man. Great News.

While 3d looks good most of the time I watched avatar in 3d and it gave me a headache which I still had the next morning. It can't be good for you.

I think it wont be to long til all tent pole movies will be in 3d , there are more 3d theaters every day so how long can any movie that wants to do well ignore all he extra millions they can make at all the 3d and i max theaters. Right now i am just waiting to hear which of the big 2011 movies will come out and say they will be in 3d first after the game changer avatar changes all the landscape.Come on wether you loved it like me or even hated it you have to admit it changes everything. If they can now make 10 foot tall blue aliens real then they can make a 7 foot tall hulk real also,or i would love to see the aliens and landscape in 3d for green lantern .The thing is if they do it like avatar if you dont like 3d just go see it in 2d no problem. But 1 thing is for sure it all changes after avatar.

at least it's a different kind of 3D than Jaws and Friday the 13th. I can't wait til we are sitting in a theater that has circular greek/roman stadium seating with a freestanding hologram movie in the center. That's the future. Engage!

Uh uh, 3D made Avatar into a piece of art. How would 3D distract the story? Us fans practically know the story without knowing it so 3D just adds brownie points.

Man those of you that made stupid comments about 3-D are retards. Do you not understand that technology improves all-the-time. Like it or not 3-D is here to stay, Avatar looked great in 3-D. If they do more movies like that then I'm 100% for it.
