We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

that's actually pretty interesting. It's definitely a prototype and unfinished. Looks like we'll get Harry as a proto Goblin and then Norman as the full fledged Green Goblin in the next movie.

I'm hoping Gwen survives this movie and is killed by Norman in the third one.

I'm with you, GizmoEl. I want viewers deeply emotionally invested in Gwen, so they really feel it when she dies. They need to feel Peter's pain.

And Norman has to be the one who kills her, not Harry or anyone else.

Interesting....

My initial reaction to this was sheer horror, but aside from the fact that this is probably the point, that is about as close to the original look of the Green Goblin as you can get, without painting him green.

I prefer this design to Raimi's. Will Dan be a better Osborn though?

Harry filled in as Green Goblin after Norman died in Amazing Spiderman Comics if I remember correctly. I wonder if they are going to have Harry play Green Goblin and then bring Norman in later. I just can't see Norman remaining bed ridden for the series.

i dont think harry is green goblin, he is a sort of proto goblin and norman is the real one

I mean it would be cool if they could just give us something resembling the comic book Green Goblin, but it's fine I guess. Maybe in the next movie!

You can't call him the Green Goblin when only his arm is green.

Seriously? It just looks like a revamped version of New Goblin. What's there to get excited about it. Good god, the Dafoe version is looking better n better each day.

This isn't THE green goblin. Btw even this look is a hundred times better than Raimi's Goblin. I'm hoping the Green Goblin that Norman eventually becomes is less mechanical and more maniacal.

Who knew the Green Goblin was an alien from the tv show Babylon 5 LOL

OMG that design is absolutely terrible and if you defend that design you are a hopeless fanboy I am sorry there is nothing at all that says Green Goblin worse movie design for a comic book character ever.
