Community was a six-season long television series created by Dan Harmon of Rick and Morty fame and often saw episodes directed by now famous Marvel directing duo The Russo Brothers, known for their work on the Marvel Cinematic Universe with their offerings of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
The show received a cult following and featured a powerful cast including Joel McHale (The Soup, Stargirl), Donald Glover (The Lion King, Spider-Man: Homecoming), Alison Brie (Mad Men, GLOW), Gillian Jacobs (Love), Danny Pudi (Duck Tales, Powerless), Jim Rash (Captain America: Civil War, Harley Quinn), Chevy Chase (Vacation), Jon Olliver (Last Week Tonight, The Lion King), Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Expanse), Ken Jeong (The Hangover, Dr. Ken, The Masked Singer), Yvette Nicole Brown, (Avengers: Endgame), and Keith David (Rick and Morty, Princess and the Frog, Gargoyles) just to name the main recurring cast.
One of the funny gags in the show was the statue of character actor Luis Guzman, who eventually went on to appear in an episode of Season 3 and he recently opened up about the strange experience while talking to People TV. Check out what he had to say about the Russo Brothers calling him.
“I got a call from [frequent Community directors] the Russo brothers, and they say, ‘Yeah, we need to send somebody to your house so they can make a bust of you.' But that wasn’t all: This is the first time in my career that somebody did a statue, and the deal was, anytime they showed the statue, I got paid. They could’ve showed the elbow in passing, I got paid.”
With the tight budget that Community was allowed and the limits they constantly pushed with episodes of paintball war and different sorts of animation - its likely that the Guzman statue stopped appearing in the show eventually due to those budgetary constraints. It's also worth considering that Dan Harmon wasn't involved during Season 4, so that could have something to do with it.
