Disney/Marvel: Good Outcomes

My opinion on good outcomes for the union of the two companies.

Now that the freaking out because Disney bought Marvel is almost over, I thought this would be a good moment to share my insight on what GOOD things could outcome from this agreement.

1. Disney's abilities to making movies is something admirable (obviously) so now that Disney owns Marvel, the extesive character shows a lot of promise on making Animated feautures. So far Marvel has made some Animated Movies such as: Ultimate Avengers, Ultimate Avengers 2, Invincible Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow, Hulk VS Wolverine, Hulk Vs Thor, an future movies such as Thor: Tales of Asgard and Planet Hulk. Two movies usually come out a year. Now we can all admit that some of the art and animation in the movies have inconsistencies. With the abilities in Disney these inconsistencies could easily disapear.
2. Disney has created live action movies that are PG-13 and are very popular: "Pirates of the Caribbean". Now compare Pirates of the Caribbean with mvies like Daredevil, X3, and Fantastic Four. Which would you prefer? Showing Disney can make a better live-action movie.
3. Disney is the owner of ABC, If you heard the podcast from two weeks ago you might think I'm copying G-Man's idea but no, Lost is soon to be over and Disney got Spider-Man's television rights a few weeks ago. So how about a competition to Smallville series with a Spider-Man series? or even a Runaways series?
4. Disney has video games with Square Enix that everybody could agree are pretty good, such as Kingdom Hearts. Have you seen the graphics on the Kingdom Hearts? Now imagine those graphics on Marvel characters on the MUA 3 game.
5. Disney's relationship with Pixar could prove useful when it comes to making movies or even television series.
6. Disney owns many television channels. Think of this: Disney XD canceled and a Marvel channel opens, Schedule according to TV Guide shows Spectacular Spider-Man, Wolverine and the X-Men, Iron Man, Spider-Man (1992), Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, X-Men, X-Men: Evolution to name a few and at night have a different Marvel movie Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, X-Men, Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, and even old movies like Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD, Howard the Duck and the old old Doctor Strange movie. What do you think? Oh and i forgot about Super Hero Squad.
7. Marvel can now publish a Pirates of he Caribbean comic book!!!

What do you think? What ideas do you like/ dislike?

unfortunately, this is all speculation and no one but the head honchos at disney and marvel even have a clue as to what could happen.
but your ideas are cool and hopefully disney will take them to heart.
we'll just have to wait and see.

1. I agree that Disney's expertise in animated features could be really valuable tool for Marvel and the potential for better uality features like a Civil War animated movie would be excellent!

2. Apart from the Pirates films, Disney havent really made a lot of good live action movies (Race To Witch Mountain for example) so apart from giving more money to Marvel, i dont think Disney's involvment would necessarily improve Marvel films.

3. Marvel themed TV shows would be excellent and definitely something Id like to see (as long as they dont end up as disapointing as Smallville!)

4. Marvel's movie games as well as non movie games like Web of Shadows have been pretty bad for the most part so that could work - however, Disneys movie tie in games arent a lot better unfortunately!

5. I agree.

6. As I said above, Disneys experience with animation could end up being really good for Marvel.

7. Lol, that I dont really care about but for PotC fans thats good news I guess! :)

I agree, all good ideas. my only fear would be if it will become over saturated and go for quantity rather than quality. lots of people like smallsville but its not exactly a great effects driven show.

Tron and the Black Hole were the two only good live action Disney movies. I don't like Disney at all. Hopefully they will mostly leave Marvels stuff alone and act as a silent partner.

I hope Pixar does some movies, they do great work over there. I really think if given the chance they could do some beautiful stuff with Marvel's characters. Like if Pixar did a Civil War movie i'd shit my pants with excitement.
