No Zoinks here folks. The Iconic host of America's Top 40 Casey Kasem had passed away this morning at the age of 82 years old at St. Anthony's Hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington state. In the final months of his life, Kasem suffered what was thought to be Parkinson's Disease, but it turns out to be Lewy body disease. A type of Dementia that he was suffering for a couple years that made him lose his ability to speak. Outside of Radio Bussiness, Kasem was known for having a successful voice over carrer, where he was known for his roles Shaggy Rogers from Scooby Doo for 40 years, the Autobots Cliffjumper & Bluestreak as well the sinister Dr. Arkeville from The Transformers and Robin from Superfriends.
Kasem's Final role was Colton Rogers from Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorperated, after he announced his Retirement in 2009. Where Ryan Secrest & Matthew Lillard succeded from him in both America's Top 40 & Scooby-Doo.
In his Immortal Words: "Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars."
