EDGE OF TOMORROW Sequel Now Has An Official Title As Emily Blunt Is Confirmed To Reprise Her Role
It looks like director Doug Liman is finally preparing to knuckle down on his Edge of Tomorrow sequel, as he's officially revealed the film's title, and confirmed the original stars' involvement...
Despite a somewhat divisive ending, Edge of Tomorrow is widely regarded as a sci-fi/action gem that doesn't get the recognition it deserves. The movie didn't really make a splash at the box office, but a sequel is still in the pipeline, and director Doug Liman has now confirmed that he is "actively working" on it while also revealing the official title.
While speaking to We Got This Covered about his new film, The Wall, Liman revealed that the follow-up to Edge of Tomorrow will be called Live Die Repeat and Repeat, and that Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt have both signed on to reprise their roles. The title doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, but it does make sense considering the first film was actually marketed as "Live Die Repeat" in the buildup to its home release.
Cruise's involvement was already pretty much a given, but it's nice to hear Blunt will also be back.
What do you guys think of the title? Sound off in the usual place.
