To announce the beginning of principal photography today, director Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World; Safety Not Guaranteed) has also revealed the official title of his highly anticipated Jurassic World threequel, which will henceforth be known as Jurassic World: Dominion.

Trevorrow is also taking a page out of fellow director Chris McQuarrie's (Mission: Impossible 7/8) book by launching his own personal Instagram page, where he promises to share exclusive behind-the-scenes photos straight from the top secret set of the upcoming blockbuster.

The film's star-studded cast features Jurassic alums Chris Pratt (Owen Grady), Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing), 3x Golden Globe-nominee Sam Neill (Alan Grant), Academy Award-winner Laura Dern (Ellie Sattler), Academy Award-nominee Jeff Goldblum (Ian Malcolm), Jake Johnson (Lowery Cruthers), Omar Sy (Barry Sembane), Justice Smith (Franklin Webb) and Daniella Pineda (Zia Rodriguez).

Newcomers to the franchise include Mamoudou Athie (Sorry for Your Loss), DeWanda Wise (She's Gotta Have It), Dichen Lachman (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Scott Haze (Venom). Details on their roles are currently being kept under wraps.

Filming has commenced in London with Trevorrow back in the director's chair, utilizing a script he co-wrote alongside Emily Carmichael (Battle at Big Rock).

Jurassic World 3 roars into theaters on June 11, 2021.
