Deadline reports that Legendary Pictures have set their signs on Kick-Ass star Aaron Johnson for the lead role in Godzilla. According to the site, the ball is now in his court and its entirely up to him as to whether or not he decides to accept. However, the British actor is said to be waiting on Frank Darabont's revised screenplay before making a final decision. The Hollywood Reporter's Borys Kit meanwhile claims that no offer has been made at this point, although the actor who will reprise the role of 'Kick-Ass' in this year's sequel (helmed by Jeff Wadlow) is said to be "interested".
