This article just broke over at i09.com with an interview of the director of the film Push, Paul McGuigan. In it he is asked wether or not his new film Push, which is due in theaters Feb 6, has any similarities with Edward Norton's The Incredible Hulk. Paul McGuigan's direct response was "The Incredible Hulk was a piece of shit," he states. Paul compared the CG-heavy giant fight scene at the end to a Tom And Jerry cartoon. Paul McGuigan also ads that Push is not from a comic book but there is a spin off comic coming out soon.

Wow. That's pretty hefty words coming from a Director that needs the support of the comic book fan community for his upcoming film Push. Lets see Paul McGuigan's last movie that came out was Lucky Number Slevin back in 2006. That film made a total worldwide gross of a whole whopping $56,308,881. The Incredible Hulk came out in 2008 and made a total worldwide gross of $263,349,257. No Paul inflation is not the reason here. Let's go back to Paul McGuigan's initial comment "The Incredible Hulk was a piece of shit," Compared to what? Paul's last movie? Or Push?? I have seen the trailer for Push. It kinda looks cool, but it also kinda looks like a rip off of some week young jedi that only have the ability to Push. Time will tell, but it looks like this director is counting his chickens way before they are hatched.

Paul McGuigan goes on to say that he was involved in making a Deathlok movie, but Marvel has since scrapped the project. I'm pretty sure Paul's above statement was the reason Marvel scrapped Paul.

Update: Looks like I was right. This poor excuse for an original film after being out in Theaters for 3 weeks clocked in a measley worldwide gross of $22,078,246. Thats right folks this movie didnt even make its money back to cover marketing costs.

Paul McGuigan is a moron if he thinks The Incredible Hulk was a piece of s---. Where does he get off saying the ending fight sence with Abomination was like a Tom & Jerry cartoon? He is a idiot wrapped in a moron.

Couldn't agree with you guys more! Screw him and his rip off "Heroes" movie. The only push I'd like to see is the one that helps him off a cliff! :)

"Push" just looks like a dull, unoriginal, unispired, insipid ripoff of everything that has come before, with nothing even remotely new or interesting to entice people to actually see the film.

The Incredible Hulk was good.

i think push will be a little below average movie. think about people with powers that allow them to "push" crap. the commercial says a goverment agentcy trying to make a army of people that "push". and how does a little girl thats gonna die in a few days fit into this.this is just a movie that will come and that everyone will say it was alright and forget about in 1 or 2 months. sure it will make the director SOME money, but it wont be all that. also the Incredible Hulk was the sh!t at the end so he needs to shut the hell up.

Well, maybe he just got the films mixed up. Maybe he was talking about Ang Lee's Hulk. Naw, I doubt it. I was thinking of maybe goin to see Push in theaters. But now, I can wait to watch on DVD, or for one of my friends to find a copy online.

Hulk = P.O.S

The Incredible Hulk = Great movie, that helped develop the future Marvel team-up films.

Push seems like a mix of Heroes and X-Men United.

lol, Paul McGuigan's a better director and you all know it. It's a shame they wont be making Deathlok, I would prefer they do that with this kind of director over a lights, bells and whistles action flash director.

but!

I will agree his comment was out of line and there's no point defending it.

also, I actually enjoyed the incredible hulk movie.

and the primary reason i found the incredible hulk enjoyable was because i saw it with very low expectations, it was after all directed by Louis Leterrier the director of transporter 2... worst film ever. I'll never forgive him for that, or his captain america bull-fart claims.

however, if i had a choice of watching one movie tonight i would pick lucky number slevin over incredible hulk. sorry.

Paul McGuigan is an idiot, he needs to shut his mouth before a fan shoves their foot so far up his ass that hes going to have to get surgery to repair the damages.

[I dont mind being the guy to shove my foot up his kilt]

This is not how you attract fan base nor audience you want coming to see your movie you douche bag. Go brush your damn teeth you [frick]ing kilt wearing bastard!

Incredible Hulk was an awesome movie.
The only good movie he ever made in his whole resume of 9 projects was "lucky number slevin"...Yeah wicker park sucked....you missed 3 films..and hit us with 1....Leterrier has worked on 3 projects...and missed one....Louis Leterrier may have made Transporter 2. But he also Made "Unleashed [Danny the Dog]...that movie was awesome.... the incredible hulk....and hes working on "CLASH OF THE TITANS [remake]"....

I dont see why he should be talking ...hes working on the four knights a play by paul webb's. Whats he trying to do win an oscar? lmfao...good luck idiot.

I'll be burning and committing piracy on "push"....
....I sense jealousy Paul you bastard. XD
