Star Wars fans, prepare to lighten your wallet - pop culture collectible creator
Funko has taken to social media to reveal a brand-new subscription service centred around the popular Sci-Fi franchise, and you aren't going to want to miss out!
Star Wars and Funko are proud to unveil Smuggler’s Bounty, the only OFFICIAL Star Wars subscription box in the galaxy!...

For those unfamiliar with these subscription box services, the whole thing is pretty easy to understand - you give the distributor money, and they send you out a whole bunch of surprise goodies in a box (most services have a theme for each releae) every so often (in the case of the
Smuggler's Bounty service, that would be every two months).
Funko, who are most notable for creating the massively popular
Pop! Vinyl figures, recently found great success with their
Marvel Collector Corps service, so the
Smuggler's Bounty certainly seems like a logical step for the company.
But what can you expect from the upcoming service? Well, while there is no way to tell exactly what you'll get (hence the surprise), the service will be similar to the
Collector Corps box, in that it will feature at least one exclusive
Star Wars Pop! Vinyl each month (however, the debut box, which will be feature a
The Force Awakens theme, will come with
TWO exclusive
Pop! Vinyls as stated on the official site), an exclusive T-Shirt, and an assortment of other goods that are designed exclusively for the service (defined by the site as "exclusive, high-quality collectible products including but not limited to apparel, accessories, toys and memorabilia"). And, at only $25 for $50 worth of exclusive merchandise, it certainly seems to be a good deal!
You can find out more by going to the
official Smuggler's Bounty website, where you can order the
November box now. While you're at it, make sure to check out the
Marvel Collector Corps website to order the
October Villains-Themed box. And for fans wanting to subscribe to both, but weary of paying $50 a month, you'll be relieved to know that
Funko has confirmed via their
Official Facebook Page that the services will always be released in alternating months.
What do you guys think? Will you be subscriping to the service? Who do you think the
Pop! Vinyls included will be based on, and what else do you think it will include? How have you been finding the
Collector Corps subscription? Sound off in the comments below, and don't forget to share and hit that thumbs up!
