STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER Photo Reveals Rey's Repaired Skywalker Lightsaber

Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber was destroyed in The Last Jedi, but Rey will have repaired it by the time The Rise of Skywalker begins. Now, a new photo from that movie reveals what it looks like...

In Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Rey and Kylo Ren battled over Anakin Skywalker's lighstaber and it ended up being broken in half. Rey, however, managed to escape with the pieces and by the time The Rise of Skywalker begins, she'll have rebuilt the Jedi weapon that was wielded by Luke before her.

Now, a newly revealed photo from a "Triple Force Friday" event finally shows us what the lightsaber looks like. It hasn't undergone too many changes, but you can see where it's been pieced together.

In The Force Awakens, a lot was made of the fact that Maz Kanata had somehow recovered the lightsaber after it was lost on Cloud City, but it remains to be seen whether J.J. Abrams will return to that plot thread and elaborate on just how meaningful it is to this final chapter in the long-running Skywalker Saga.

Check out the photo below and stay tuned for more from The Rise of Skywalker!

Too bad they've broken a few things that can't be repaired quite as easily...

Not the I really care about this series anymore, but are they gonna even bother to explain how little yellow Yoda got Luke's old lightsaber from TESB? Or is this just gonna be another JJ Abrams handwave/nevermind kinda thing?

End it, wait 5 years and do The Magnificent Seven (1960) but with Jedi set in the past. The shabby young guy that joins the group against their better judgment and learns a lesson is Yoda. Sorted.
