Now, a newly revealed photo from a "Triple Force Friday" event finally shows us what the lightsaber looks like. It hasn't undergone too many changes, but you can see where it's been pieced together.
In
The Force Awakens, a lot was made of the fact that Maz Kanata had somehow recovered the lightsaber after it was lost on Cloud City, but it remains to be seen whether J.J. Abrams will return to that plot thread and elaborate on just how meaningful it is to this final chapter in the long-running Skywalker Saga.
