VIDEO GAMES: The Battle Rages Across All Eras In A New STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT II Trailer

A brand new trailer for EA's Star Wars: Battlefront II has landed ahead of E3, showcasing a variety of characters, maps, and adventures across all three eras of the franchise. Check it out!

Ahead of this week's E3 Conference, EA and Dice have unveiled a brand new gameplay trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II. Unlike its predecessor, which only focused on the original trilogy, Battlefront II will encompass all three eras of Star Wars, letting you fight on both sides of each conflict.

The trailer also reveals several playable heroes and villains - including Darth Maul, Yoda, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, Rey and Kylo Ren - along with locations such as Naboo, Hoth, and Tatooine. Design Director Niklas Fegraeus revealed to Gamespot that all of Battlefront II's DLC will be free, unlike the last game which featured a large amount of paid extra content.

"I think the main thing here is to keep the community together," Fegraeus said. "In terms of the brand, to me, when it comes to Star Wars, that's a family feeling. If you're a fan, you're a part of the family. And splitting that up and saying, 'If you have this content you can play here, but if you have this content you can play here.' And if you don't share, you will be split up. What we wanted to do was have a journey that starts at the launch of the game. So when the game launches, this journey starts with different seasons [of DLC]. No one will ever be locked away by some purchase that they made."

Star Wars Battlefront II launches in November 2017. Will you be picking up a copy? Let us know in the comments!

I don't care how good this game looks in trailers, or what EA's promising. It's still EA. I'll buy the game if/when I'm certain I get an actual game and not just 25% of one.

I'd like to see Lucasfilm make an animated, theatrically released, SW movie with this quality of CGI.

Wasn't the Star Wars Battlefront game that came out recently a disappointment to some degree? I don't play, but I remember people saying it wasn't that good.
