Ahead of this week's E3 Conference, EA and Dice have unveiled a brand new gameplay trailer for
Star Wars Battlefront II. Unlike its predecessor, which only focused on the original trilogy,
Battlefront II will encompass all three eras of
Star Wars, letting you fight on both sides of each conflict.
The trailer also reveals several playable heroes and villains - including Darth Maul, Yoda, Boba Fett, Chewbacca, Rey and Kylo Ren - along with locations such as Naboo, Hoth, and Tatooine. Design Director Niklas Fegraeus revealed to
Gamespot that all of
Battlefront II's DLC will be free, unlike the last game which featured a large amount of paid extra content.
"I think the main thing here is to keep the community together," Fegraeus said.
"In terms of the brand, to me, when it comes to Star Wars, that's a family feeling. If you're a fan, you're a part of the family. And splitting that up and saying, 'If you have this content you can play here, but if you have this content you can play here.' And if you don't share, you will be split up. What we wanted to do was have a journey that starts at the launch of the game. So when the game launches, this journey starts with different seasons [of DLC]. No one will ever be locked away by some purchase that they made."
