When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes — a washed up former pilot and an untested trainee — who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Additionally, according to Alberta Film Ratings, the second theatrical trailer for Pacific Rim has been classified with a runtime of two minute and 25 seconds. Expect this trailer to be released soon. It wouldn't be surprising if it's attached to The Hangover Part III on May 24th (as that's Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures' next big theatrical release).

Pacific Rim stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day and Ron Perlman. The film is set to hit theaters July 12th.

That head is very small, especially for a Giant Monster.

yeah that head looks way to small with how large the Kaiju actually are. Very strange.

Don't look at the skull, look at the spine. This thing was enormous. If I had to speculate, the massive spine, small skull, and that freakin' axe on its forehead I would imagine the rest of the creature to be stocky but powerful to get up underneath objects/building/terrian and rip it up, or build speed to ram through walls.

Alternatively, it could be water-based, like a snake that builds up massive speed and rams its target underwater.

Hard to tell, but I wouldn't want to tangle with it.

Maybe thats one of the first kaiju kills thus being displayed in a museum. They could have grown in size or evolved to be much bigger than the early ones. Just sayin
