I have given up on comics, largely, could someone tell me how/why Peter is able to meet up with Otto Pete? And if it's a "time" thing, it's not as if Peter can beat up Otto, he'd be hurting his own body.

Read the story. It's good. It's fulfilling a prophecy made by Madame Webb at the start of Slott's run.
Basically Superior Spider-Man went time-traveling to 2099 last year. From there he started hopping alternate dimensions. Meanwhile in modern day, Peter Parker starts hopping dimensions and he and Otto meet up in an alternate reality. Otto just thinks he's another alternate reality Spidey, but they are both from Earth 616. Not sure why they'd fight, since they're both on the same mission, but we do know that Otto arrives 9 hours after he left shouting angrily.

This story is slaying me. How could you not erupt in laughter at seeing Morlun hop into the Hostess Twinkie universe and snap Spidey's neck as he tries to pacify him with creme-filled spongecake?

I hate to break the news but MC2 Peter is dead. Only Mayday and her brother escaped that reality.

No, the timestream is broken. Otto slipped out of time and gets returned before the time break. Nobody is getting plucked from anywhen now, and the Spider-web is unraveling as well. Soon the only survivors will be trapped in one reality.
But if it makes you feel better, I think MayDay will escape to the main reality.

it makes me feel better, and she could be the thing that resolves One More Day.

Depending on what happens to Franklin in FF, i have a couple theories that Ultimate and 616 will combine into a new universe. If the Franklinverse Avengers steal his power then i'm clueless, but I think he's going to be the one that saves the day.
But I'm not convinced yet that all those past storylines that are coming will be real. It may just be the life of the universe flashing before everyone's eyes before it blinks out of existence.
Age of Apocalypse no longer exists, for instance. There can't be any actual contact with it, even with time travel because it was erased by the Celestials' minions.

Two earths existing in one could happen though. I recall Rhodey from the future phasing some sort of engine into the planet. He claimed they'd need it later. I wish that storyline wasn't so confusing because that's about all i can remember about it.

@rabid

This seems to be yet another play at pulling for audiences nostalgia strings. Nostalgia has been the biggest fad since the 2000's. It was not long after people were begging for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation to end, that kids at school were saying "Remember the TMNT?" And I guess Y2K is sort of to blame because people ALWAYS went back to old styles and fads, but it was the imminent "end of the world"--or at least the verified end of a millennium-- that had networks such as VH1 taking the time to have us look back at time memorial.

I apologize, I've gone on a mini-rant. My point is: Nostalgia is huge now and companies pander to it by doing everything possible to say "Hey remember this?!" It doesn't help that shows like Family Guy made that a popular form of comedy, as well. So Morlorn is killing off beloved instances of Spider-Man and popular versions of the character? Is there anything to it for Marvel beyond "Hey remember this?!" And, no, I don't mean whatever nonsense plot that they came up with, I mean does it change or shape Marvel in any better or significant way?

For example..Ironman: Extremis changed Ironman comics, and really Marvel, in a huge way. There are ramifications from those comics that are still in play today and add to Tony's character. When it comes to Spider-Man, Marvel never really makes the character better, and when they do, they take it away. (Like having him become a full Avenger, work as a professor and both Aunt May and MJ know who he is. Everything was great, he was happy, they were getting paid. his family was living safe in Avengers Tower..everything was fine until Quesada ripped it away)

Anyway, so what good does this do for Marvel? How does it make Spider-Man better? I feel as if there's absolutely no point to this. And we know that Otto is going to come back, so it's not like he'll die. And they just brought Pete back, so he's fine. They can't kill Ultimate Morales. From what I've seen of pictures online, it's not even like we get cool fights out of it. It's just random instances of watching Spidey get killed.

I vaguely remember a Simpsons joke where Milhouse is telling Bart about a special edition of Radioactive Man where Radioactive Man and Fallout Boy die on every page. the joke was played to the point that it's largely a stupid idea. This is apparently Marvel's version of that.
