The five villains I'd most like to see in the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN sequels.

Although The Amazing Spider-Man doesn't swing into theaters until July 3rd, I'm already thinking about what villains I'd like to see Spidey take on in the sequels. Read on to find out my top picks as well as thoughts on why these are perfect adversaries for the old webhead...

1) Kraven The Hunter

One of my favorite villains from the comics, Kraven The Hunter truly is the greatest hunter of all time. He is resourceful, cunning, and tactical, making him the perfect one to give Spider-Man a run for his money.

2) Mysterio

Mysterio might not have any real superpowers, but his use of special effects and stage illusions allow him much advantage over his opponent. Mysterio was also a stuntman before becoming one of Spidey's greatest foes, so he is skilled in hand-to-hand combat.

3) Vulture

An enemy of Spider-Man in the comics since 1963, Vulture has returned many times to try and defeat the webhead. I'd love to see the real life take on Vulture's costume and it would be great to see aerial fights between Vulture and Spidey.

4) Electro

Electro has the ability to manipulate all electricity around him and charge himself up to use that electrostatic energy on his enemies. Using these powers make him the perfect adversary for Spidey to face. How cool would it be to see the electrical special effects in 3D on the big screen?!

5) Carnage

Since we might not have the chance to see Venom in another Spider-Man movie, I'd love to see a film take on Carnage. Truly one of Spidey's most dastardly villains, Carnage would fit in perfect with the reboot's darker nature. Carnage would also provide a worthy opponent for Peter because he is evil in its 'purest' form.

There you have it. What villains would you like to see in the Amazing Spider-Man sequels? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.

I don't usually click an article in which I'd have nothing good to say, but these "5 spidey villains that need movie treatment" articles are stale. I'd rather see a short fan fiction for a villain or two than some photos with a few sentences accompanying them.

That said, I guess I'll contribute something productive. In no particular order of favorite or how they should appear:
1. Doc Ock (I know we got him in Raimi's, but he's awesome)
2. Mysterio
3. Electro
4. Chameleon (but only if teamed with #5)
5. Kraven

Left Goblin off because we all know he will be redone for us. Mysterio would be the most radical. His potential for live-action is [frick]ing great.

I think Kraven needs the movie treatment. he would be a good villain for spidey.

Kravens last hunt would make for a gripping storyline or a combination of kraven and chameleon working together.

so would chameleon and mysterio messing with the psychology

I personally do not want to see doctor octopus have his own movie again since we have seen that in the previous trilogy but would be interested in seeing him in the sinister six

you have to do venom before you can do carnage

Carnage: ugh. Venom wasn't well done. Why/how would they do Carnage better? It's not an interesting character.

Spider-Man is great because he's so very human at every turn. He should face villains that have a very human connection. That's why "Spider-Man 2" was great, followed by "Spider-Man."

Mysterio is not a threatening nor scary villain.
Kraven might work--not as the main antagonist.

What are you talking about? Sure the lizard is the villain in this one, but none of those characters you listed are in this one. How can you say they seem to be exploring the animal themed villains? That comment makes no sense.

Punisher is my number one, he was originally created to be a Spidey villain, and his appearance in a sequel would kickstart a decent Punisher film.

Not really, because everyone knows that the video games based off movies ALWAYS add extra characters that have no bearing what so ever on the movie itself, or its sequels. Just because the video game uses those characters doesn't mean anything at all for the direction the sequels will go with their villains.

You're using a video game and acting like it is the movie. It doesn't work that way.

I think that they should do more than just 3 movies and build the sinister 6

Tombstone is where it's at. But i'd rather have him in the third film. The sequel should feature Mysterio.
