First Look At Paul Giamatti As Aleksei Sytsevich In THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

While he's not suited up as Rhino, director Marc Webb has tweeted a new image from his currently shooting sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2 which gives us our first official look at Paul Giamatti's Aleksei Sytsevich. Check it out after the jump.

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker, life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen, high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.







The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Chris Cooper, Felicity Jones and Sally Field. The film is set to hit theaters May 2nd, 2014.

Are we sure he is going to become the Rhino? What if Rhino is like a gang name for him or something? I mean I hope he becomes Rhino but this is another possibility.

He's Aleksei, his other comrades get webbed up, he steas the truck with the RHINO SUIT.
Boom. The set photos/vidoes dont lie.

I say that's the route it's doing down.
People are gonna complain at the first look at Aleksei, wait till Rhino hits..

Yes! Rhino is my least favorite villain, so if they just make him some gangster i'll be perfectly happy. BUT Giamatti looks much more menacing than I thought he would, so I'm super pumped for this movie.

Rhino suit could be like the Crysis suit but only bigger. Its made in Oscorp and Osborn gives Aleksei the chance to use against Spidey. Thats how it should be.

I'm hyped for this movie, but we don't need another villain's origin story...and him being a mobster called "the Rhino" is just dumb...I don't know, I was excited about having Giamatti play Rhino, but this is a no-no for me.
