SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING: Does The Daily Bugle Exist In The Marvel Cinematic Universe?

There's been no mention of J. Jonah Jameson showing up in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but what about The Daily Bugle itself? Well, we finally have an answer courtesy of some new leaked screengrabs.

A special Spider-Man: Homecoming event recently took place in Japan and as well as new footage being shown off from the movie, a number of props were also put on display. As you can see below, among them was The Daily Bugle, something which finally confirms that this newspaper exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For obvious reasons, it's never been mentioned before now, but this changes things. With any luck, this also means J. Jonah Jameson is now coming in the sequel!

This Bugle makes no mention of Spider-Man being a menace, but we do see a mention of the UN attack from Captain America: Civil War, an alleged chihuahua ring and a hoax involving the Washington Monument, a location the wall-crawler will be getting familiar with in the upcoming reboot.

It remains to be seen whether The Daily Bugle will be used as more than an Easter Egg here, but the Spider-Man: Homecoming franchise will follow The Amazing Spider-Man in the respect that Jonah and Peter Parker's work as a freelance photographer is being kept on the shelf for the time being.

@JoeMomma29 - He is so funny, and would kill the role. He sadly hasn't shown his comedic chops lately, but man his movies in the 80s and 90s were just so good.

@MasterMix -

Still would love to have J K SIMMONS for Jonah... the only way to do it is to have Spiderman appear in Batman and break the 4th wall asking him to "take off the Inspector Clouseau disguise"

@JonC - Lol. If Spidey had just seen ETB there's no way he'd know who Inspector Clouseau is.

@CuddlyCereal - Why is that? Just because he hasn't seen TESB doesn't mean he hasn't seen any of the Pink Panther films.

@Kozmik - Because Star Wars is way more iconic and culturally relevant than Pink Panther. Not to diss those movies in any way though.

@CuddlyCereal - The guy live with his aunt he would have seen the movies his aunt like with her 'cause Peter is a good kid and I mean she definitely could be into Pink Panther movies.
