Yesterday's Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailer has generated a lot of excitement among fans. However, perhaps the biggest talking point has been our first look at the dozens of Spidey Variants who will be part of Miles Morales' apparent Multiversal war with Spider-Man 2099.
Now, we have some concept art showcasing three characters likely to be key in the sequel.
First up is Pavitr Prabhaka, a.k.a. Spider-Man: India. Introduced in 2004, the hero has since shown up a few times as part of various crossover events, but is a very underrated character. The costume below is quite a departure from his comic book counterpart, though we'd also argue it's a massive improvement and a visually stunning take on this Spider-Man.
Next up is Hobie Brown, a.k.a. Spider-Punk. On the page, he was a homeless teenager transformed by an irradiated spider that was part of President Norman Osborn's toxic waste dumping. He then became the punk-rock-inspired Spider-Man, and has emerged as a major fan favourite since 2015.
Finally, we have Mayday Parker, the daughter of Peter B. Parker and Mary Jane Watson. She grows up to become Spider-Girl in the comic books, but already appears to be showing some early spider-powers based on her costume!

In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, after reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence.
However, when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
While lots of rumours are swirling, in terms of confirmed cast members, the movie will star Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld. Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, and Oscar Isaac.
Written by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller and David Callaham, and directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, Justin K. Thompson, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swings into theaters on June 2, 2023.
