Thanks to The Wrap, we have a new look at Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. As you can see, an unmasked Miles Morales is taken down by Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099 in what looks set to be a very intense battle.
We recently learned that the future web-slinger will serve as the sequel's antagonist, though Miguel won't be a full-blown villain. That role goes to The Spot, a C-List baddie from the comic books who will get a major power upgrade in this movie and the planned threequel, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Talking to the trade, writer and producer Christopher Miller teased, "The things that we’re doing in this new Spider-Verse movie are breaking the pipelines all over again. But everyone’s excited about it and not just terrified."
"It’s definitely more insane," Lord added. "We finally made some people nervous. I feel like we’ve done our job."
We have a feeling Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is going to be a very special movie, and we're sure another "Best Animated Feature" Oscar is in this franchise's future. Accolades aside, all signs point to this being another spectacular adventure for Spidey fans to embark on.
Check out that amazing new still below.
