Sony Pictures has announced some release date changes for its upcoming theatrical slate, pushing back one SPUMC movie and officially scheduling another for 2024.

Madame Web has been moved back almost three months from July 7 to October 6, 2023, while the studio's "untitled Marvel film" will now hit theaters on June 7, 2024.

This is believed to be the mysterious SPUMC project that was previously dated for October 2023, and speculation points to either the in-development Venom 3 or Olivia Wilde's Spider-Woman movie.

You can have a look at the rest of the release date changes below.

There doesn't seem to be much anticipation for Madame Web among comic book fans, but the movie has assembled a very impressive cast, with Emma Roberts, Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, Adam Scott and Celeste O'Connor joining Dakota Johnson's lead.

There's a rumor doing the rounds that the project is actually being developed as a team-up film with Johnson's clairvoyant hero sharing the spotlight with a number of other female characters. That remains to be seen, of course, but the trades seem to think it's a strong possibility.

Production on the mysterious Spider-Man spin-off is now underway, with some recent set photos seemingly hinting that the movie will be set in the early noughties.

S.J. Clarkson (The Defenders) is directing from a screenplay by Morbius scribes Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.
