MORBIUS, THE LIVING VAMPIRE Set Photo Features A Fun Nod To Another SPIDER-MAN Villain

Morbius, The Living Vampire is currently shooting in Manchester, England and a new set photo reveals a fun nod to another villain from the comic books. It may not mean much but you can check it out here...

Morbius, The Living Vampire stars Jared Leto and is current shooting in England - which should give the movie an appropriately gothic vibe, and seemingly keeps the action away from Spider-Man's home of New York City.

Now, a photo has been shared from the set of the movie showing a truck with an address in the Bronx emblazoned on the side, a sign, perhaps, that while parts of the spinoff are shooting in the UK, it will, in fact, be set in or around the Big Apple. The most notable thing here, however, is that the catering company is called "Kraven."

This is obviously an Easter Egg referencing the Spider-Man villain who will be getting a movie of his own if recent reports are to be believed. While this nod most likely has nothing to do with that, it's a pretty neat tease.

During a recent interview, Morbius producer Avi Arad dropped some big hints about Leto's take on the villain. "Wait until you see the way he looks, what we have done with this character, you will love it," he said. "There are so many other great characters on the way, too. You will see. We’re just getting started."

With any luck, we'll hopefully get a first look at Morbius in action soon.

It's morning in America now.

When is this big Tom Holland announcement supposed to happen?

@IronMandarin - Maybe Tom Holland meant Morbius?

@IronMandarin - It's either going to premiere on GMA (Good morning America), Late Night show, or during noon time online. It all depends if he is trying to promote the film early.

Kinda odd if Holland is going to promote FFH instead of Endgame? Sony is really showing they don't give a [frick] bout Avengers. I'm pretty sure they are pulling Spidey back and throwing him into the Venom-verse if that's their attitude. Venom and Into the spider verse were already massive hits, they don't really need Marvel anymore.

@mastakilla39 - I assume that Tom would be promoting Far From Home because he can't reveal if he's alive or not in Endgame. I wouldn't worry about him Sony taking him back since they claimed that they want him to remain at Marvel (for the time being at least)

But thanks for the information.

Ffs Arad stop trying to make a Spider-Man villain universe and just bend the knee to Feige.

"Kraven the Caterer" doesn't strike as much fear into my heart as "Kraven the Hunter" but we'll give it a try. :)

These guys managed to somehow make a Venom movie starring Tom Hardy shit. And now they’ve chosen one of the worst actors around to bring a stupid character to life (yeah I know about his oscar, I still think he’s awful). A main character named Morbius? And a living vampire? That defeats everything cool about vampires! I’d b willing to give it a go if it weren’t for Leto.

A set of darker solo spiderman spin offs featuring venom, black cat and Kraven sounded awesome, I didnt even care if Spidey wasnt in them. But Venom was a turd in the wind. Whatever the [frick] that means.

@connorblaze - why do you hate the Venom movie so much?
Matador
Matador - 3/25/2019, 5:47 AM
@connorblaze @Argetlam22 - For the record I started watching Venom movie for the first time at home on Saturday only because my kid wanted to watch it.

But the wife went to bed after his hunger pains through the kitchen and tossed his cookies in toilet.

We stopped it at the during some long chase scene. Still haven't finished watching it but hopefully have the energy to finish it sometime this week.

We all new Eddy was a [frick] up but in this movie for the right reasons but caused his girlfriend to get fired breaks up with him, and then instantly hooks up with another dude a doctor. WTF 3 whole scenes that were tied together just to tell him you got a parasite in you.

And I don't know about you but every time Tom Hardy spoke lines he sounded like he was mumbling and could not hear or understand wtf he was trying to say.

At this point in the movie it feels as bad as BvS it drags & feels boring. Oh and they mention how Eddy was fired from New York Daily Globe so that's why he went to San Francisco. Why couldn't they just say fired from the Daily Bugle adding to that Marvel connection. They went around to avoid being related to Marvel.

If they had wanted to in this film they could just have connected Eddy/Venom to Spider-Man 3 as he seemed to have escaped that explosion and moved to San Francisco Eddy already having the Symbiote. But his alien buddies come to town storyline. Just a thought.

@Matador - that's honestly my only issue with the movie. They didn't really communicate the time lapse between confronting Drake and his life getting wrecked as a result. It all happened sorta quietly, like a quick glide instead of a rock bottom crash. He somehow made it look almost graceful. But that was my biggest problem with the movie. You stopped watching right before the movie started to get good. He is soft spoken but it's because he's a quiet sort of anti villain who actually listens and thinks instead constantly blowing shit up and hoping someone bad dies from it.
Matador
Matador - 3/25/2019, 7:38 AM
@Argetlam22 - Oh really? It's weird because it starts slow yet everything within the movie is going pretty fast story wise. So your head is trying to wrap around it from the last scene while there on another scene.

@WeaponXCII - I'm an extra on this specific set for the next few days.

We've done a few scenes so far (one where Jared steals blood from an ambulance and another where the lead female escapes onto a bus and flips off the FBI)
