The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

Getting a movie where he keeps his mask on, is about as likely as getting a movie where Thor wears his helmet.

I'm not sure about the movie yet BUT as far as looks go, Andrew looks more like Peter than Tobey did...

hopefuly the movie will be good, it'll very hard to top the best comic book out there:

I like it. Show me the poster of RDJ where he actually wore the damn helmet?! Ironically, considering the amount of abuse it gets on here, you never see a promo shot of Christian Bale without the cowl....
SpiderFan35
SpiderFan35 - 4/30/2012, 11:07 AM
@Cassidy: That's because it takes 3 costume technicians 20 minutes to get the cowl on or off lol.

they need to quit with the shots of Spidy from behind. they make him look extremely skinny and frail.

Cassidy75 - 4/30/2012, 11:32 AM
@Just1Superguy Yeah I see your point but it's a promo shot, not in film action..I guess that would be a good excuse, but I just don't buy it as a reason..Part of me actually thinks that it is because Bale's such a method nut that he's convinced he is the god damn Batman!!!!

I hope there aren't a lot of cameras in that city or his secret identity is going to be a secret for one crime.

That's because that poster is completely fake and photoshopped. Andrew Garfield's physique is nothing like that.

sheeesh man i can see him not having the mask on for a very minimal amount of time but they are just throwing this everywhere. he looks cooler with the mask on, like Thor and his helmet. *sigh*
CPBuff22

I like that these posters are darker than what Rami's were. I am hoping the same thing from the movie. Something I find interesting is that a lot of people on the pages I visit don't like these posters saying they are "emo" or "goth". They are darker so I kinda get that, but wouldn't that make the TDKR posters "emo" or "goth" as well? Just a thought.

Unacceptable.

@agentmi5 - the Tobey Maguire poster from Spider-Man 2 is far better and more epic. The new poster looks old and unimaginative.
