Spider-Man: No Way Home pit three Peter Parker Variants against a whole host of Multiversal baddies, but it's easy to forget that the wall-crawler also squared off with Doctor Strange!

In a standout sequence set in the Mirror Dimension, Spidey managed to outsmart the former Sorcerer Supreme, though not before he was put through the wringer by his fellow Avenger. Now, Framestore has shared some new concept art from the threequel showing some of their contributions to the scene. We also see a number of different takes on Strange's "Ancient Artefact."

While it's not based on a specific magical item from the comic books, it proved to be a crucial part of Spider-Man: No Way Home. "We actually had to think about how to solve that thing while working on its look," Framestore explains over on ArtStation. "Quite a challenge, lot of people involved here I cannot mention all, but really crazy amazing job to all, I can tell you this thing made for real would totally work...with some help from Strange."

It's always interesting to get a behind the scenes look at the creation of a sequence like this, and it should be a lot of fun revisiting it and finding any Easter Eggs when the movie arrives on Digital/Blu-ray. Some recently released concept art actually showed a number of moments that didn't make the final cut, and we're hoping that we'll continue to see more from the movie over the coming months.

Great scene, def one of the best fights in the movie. Just gets overshadowed by the apartment fight and obviously the final battle.
