It was a long time coming, but the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home was finally released last night. Despite an unfinished version leaking beforehand, the preview did not disappoint, and we've been left with a lot of questions about where the threequel is going to take us in the MCU's Multiverse (it certainly feels like we're heading "Into the Spider-Verse," eh?).
Earlier today, Tom Holland took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the trailer. It turns out he was actually in the air when it was released, and the actor was quick to tease an even bigger movie than the one that footage promises.
"I'm at the airport. I've been flying for the last 10 hours, so I didn't actually post the trailer. My brother, Harry, did, so I haven't been able to the reactions and how excited everyone is [Laughs]. I've just landed, so I turned my phone on, and my phone has gone mental. The love and support you guys have shown for the film is so exciting. Honestly, that is just the tip of the iceberg."
"You have no idea what else is to come," Holland teased. "I'm so excited to share more with you guys and it feels so good. It feels so good to be back with Spider-Man, to be showing you trailers, to have films coming out...this is so exciting. I love you all. Thank you for your support, and enjoy the trailer!"
We can't help but hope Holland is referring to a few other Spider-Men here, but that's pure speculation on our part. However, while this is unlikely to surprise you, Variety does appear to have confirmed that Willem Dafoe will reprise his role as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin...in case that laugh didn't make it clear!
Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts, meanwhile, has also shared his reaction to the trailer and poked fun at the way it initially leaked online in arguably the worst way possible:
