Peter Parker has worn a lot of different costumes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after debuting in Captain America: Civil War in 2016, and after our first look at merchandise for Spider-Man: No Way Home, we now know he'll don at least two more this December.
Disney owns the merchandise rights to Spider-Man, so perhaps we shouldn't be surprised that Peter is constantly changing his appearance on the big screen!
Regardless, there have now been a total of seven different costumes worn by Spidey over the past five years, so we've decided to rank them from least to most spectacular. Each of them has good and bad points, and we think you guys will be surprised by where these costumes land.

7. Stealth Suit
It's fair to say that most of us expected Spider-Man to have a very different black suit after travelling into outer space in Avengers: Infinity War, but this "Stealth" costume provided to him by Nick Fury is still pretty cool.
Clearly inspired by the "Spider-Noir" version of the character, this was a clever way to hide Peter Parker's identity while he tried to stop the Elementals overseas, but not really that Spidey-ish beyond the goggles! Yes, it looked spectacular in action, but this is unlikely to be remembered beyond the few minutes of screentime it had in 2019.
It's also pretty disappointing that it didn't feature any sort of logo where the S.H.I.E.L.D. insignia likely once sat, especially as that might have helped it stand out a little more than it ultimately did.
6. Homemade Costume
On the surface, this costume doesn't really take much in the way of inspiration from the comic books because Peter Parker has never really worn anything like it. However, on closer inspection, it's clear the Scarlet Spider suit is what led to Marvel Studios dreaming up this homemade costume for Peter Parker.
First glimpsed in Captain America: Civil War and later highlighted in Spider-Man: Homecoming, it was a bold decision by Marvel to have Peter don this while doing battle with The Vulture in the final battle, there are ways this could have been improved on, with something similar to Steve Rogers' USO suit or what we saw Wanda wear during Halloween in WandaVision.
However, seeing him lift that rubble while decked out in the hoodie made it clear that it's more than just the suit that makes the (spider) man, and that means it worked well from a story level.
5. Iron Spider
While this may be a departure from the Iron Spider suit seen in the comic books, it still managed to look spectacular on screen and seeing those extra arms in action was a definite highlight in Avengers: Infinity War. Created entirely with visual effects, this looked great in action and was an understandable upgrade for Peter Parker from his previous costume.
It returned briefly in Spider-Man: Far From Home after appearing in Avengers: Endgame's final act, but we weren't too disappointed to see Marvel Studios move on from this one.
As awesome as this was in a lot of different ways, concept art has revealed much better versions, some of which actually stuck a little closer to the comic books. Had we seen one of those, the Iron Spider costume might have topped this list and become iconic, but that's simply not the case.
4. Integrated Suit
Taking the beloved Upgraded Suit from Spider-Man: Far From Home and combining it with the Iron Spider is definitely a surprise, though it makes sense if Peter Parker really is going to be battling an interdimensional version of the Sinister Six!
We're not entirely sure what to make of that big gold spider on his chest, but it does work and is a good fit with the red and black. It's something different for the wall-crawler, and that's not a bad thing! We also can't help but be reminded of Ben Reilly's Spider-Man costume with a much bigger logo on the chest rather than the much smaller one we've seen in the MCU up until now.
Something tells us this is going to look spectacular in action, and it should help him stand out nicely from the other two Spider-Men we're expecting to see appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
3. Stark Suit
It's completely understandable that a lot of fans aren't happy with this suit (mostly because of those black lines and the tiny logo), but it's definitely still classic Spider-Man.
Despite that, Marvel Studios hit something of a home run here, with its debut in both Captain America: Civil War and the way it was used in Spider-Man: Homecoming a real highlight for Peter Parker in the MCU. The moving eyes were a big highlight, an element absent from every other suit up until this point, and the fact Kevin Feige and Jon Watts figured that out is amazing.
At the end of the day, there's no way you'd look at this and not immediately think "Spider-Man," and that makes it a pretty damn incredible costume. In motion, it looked phenomenal, and we certainly wouldn't have been against it sticking around a little longer.
2. Black & Gold Suit
There's been a lot of speculation that this is essentially Spider-Man's costume turned inside out, but we're not convinced that's the case. Even if it is, that doesn't stop it from looking undeniably badass, and even though this might be a little reactionary, we can't help but think this will look amazing in action.
The red around Spidey's forearms and hands is certainly a unique touch, and the gold should again help ensure that the web-slinger stands out on screen alongside his fellow Spider-Men.
It's also a costume that reminds us of the Anti-Ock suit in the Spider-Man video game, leaving us to wonder whether Peter puts this on in an effort to take down Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus.
1. Upgraded Suit
Considerably less cluttered than the Spider-Man: Homecoming costume (and far more visually distinctive thanks to the red and black colour scheme), it's no exaggeration to dub this the hero's best big screen costume to date. It looks like an Alex Ross illustration come to life, and the fact it was actually created by Peter - albeit with some Stark Tech - was a real bonus for fans.
From a purely visual standpoint, though, this is an amazing suit and one that really struck a chord with fans when it debuted in 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Seeing this get a little battered was also good fun, especially as we'd only really seen a "battle damaged" Spidey when he faced The Vulture. This has been as good as it gets in the MCU, and we just hope that it being combined with the Iron Spider means it looks every bit as spectacular on screen...
