Sony Releases 10 Minutes Of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 And It's As Bad As You Remember

Did you miss The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in theaters earlier this year? Well, ahead of the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release, Sony Pictures have officially released the first ten minutes of the movie. I'm not sure how smart a decision this was as most people can normally tell whether a movie is going to be good within the first few minutes, and what we see here...isn't great! In fairness, the web-swinging IS like the comic books come to life, but not even that can mask the sequel's many issues (and if you don't believe that it had any, why else are Sony revamping the franchise?). Regardless, check out the preview below and share your thoughts in the usual place.

Seriously though, this movie was such utter shit. If anything, it deserves even MORE hate than it already has.

Spidey let so many people get injured in this scene which could have easily been avoided by just pulling rhino outta the truck

In Spidey's defense, he didn't pull Rhino out so fast because banter.

I thought the opening shots of Spider-man swinging were beautiful. Paul Giamatti's Rhino is a joke, though.

This is the most objective and un-biased article Josh has ever written about this movie....

.... That was sarcasm by the way.

My favorite part is when Spider-Man lets innocent drivers get hit just so he can exchange witty banter with the Rhino.

I still don't understand the massive amount of hate this film gets. I loved it. Saw it in theaters and buying it on Blu-Ray. To each our own.

The central performances and the dynamics between Peter and Gwen was the dramatic core of the film, and in this respect the film excelled. Emotionally speaking this film generated a larger response from me than any other comic book movie this year as I felt and cared for the two main characters. The movie is a narrative mess and the villains are not as fleshed out as they ought to be, but it is by no means as bad a movie as some here will lead you to think.

yeah but they don't needlessly report their personal opinion in EVERY...SINGLE...ARTICLE they post.

It's shameful and quite frankly I doubt I'm the only one who thinks so.

I'm sure Josh is a cool guy and all. He's just a little much to take on here sometimes with his beyond bias "reporting".

What? Josh Wilding forcing his obnoxious opinion through what should be an unbiased news article, turning it into a thinly veiled opinionated message board post without any regard to serving the reader base with any genuine sincerity?

You've got to be kidding me.

Well I didn't like the first Amazing Spider-Man either.
I'll stick to Raimi's first two movies until something else comes along.

Josh inserts himself in articles about famous people twitting, what exactly do you expect from a guy like that?
I wish the name of the "writer" was apparent before one clicks on an article, I'd skip him every time.

Is there a way to hide contributors? He's entitled to his opinion and all but I'm coming on here less because I'm sick of having this entitled guy's opinion shoved down my throat.

Loved this movie, no where near perfect but still this is one of my favourite openings to a CBM.

@grifdeadpoolteabag

Laughed out loud during this movie; I enjoyed it immensely. Andrew Garfield has more charisma in his left nut than a legion of Tobey Maguires

It's good to know you have your own opinion, but at the end of the day, don't expect other people to believe you or agree with you.
