You Won't Believe Who David Ayer Made Viola Davis Curse Out While Filming SUICIDE SQUAD

It seems as though David Ayer displayed his master directing skills once more. We learned a few days ago that Ayer likes to learn about your personal life before filming, in hopes to create a bond with his cast. If you thought that was the slightest bit of crazy, wait until you hear what he made Viola Davis do!

While talking with Entertainment Weekly, Viola Davis said that Ayer is an "even-tempered dudebro," who's great at manipulating his actors. She wasn't just saying this to be saying it, the two-time Oscar nominee had a story to back it up! One day while Davis was going over how she was going to film a scene with Joel Kinnaman (who plays Rick Flag), she revealed that Ayer approached her, and gave her some new lines to say to Kinnaman. "He would make me call, [Davis starts laughing and can’t really stop] Joel Kinnaman a p—y at times. A b*tch. [More laughs.] It’s completely politically incorrect but it caused a reaction in me." Did Davis feel bad about cursing out Joel? Not at all. "It made me feel like a straight up thug, and it made Rick Flagg want to kick my ass. So David got what he wanted.”

When Kinnaman was asked about the exchange between himself and Davis, he made clear that he wasn't exactly pleased. “Some of the stuff she said really pissed me off, and I felt really betrayed." Kinnaman then added, “And that’s exactly what David wanted me to feel...And now it’s in the movie. That’s some pretty high-level direction through manipulation.”

I guess if your directing a film with a group of villains as the protagonists, you have to think outside the box. But hey, maybe Kinnaman just felt betrayed because he's a b*tch. Would you believe me if I said David Ayer manipulated me to write that? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

If you think the quintessential Joker would send used condoms to Harley, you aren't a good actor, you're a man with weird tastes.

Perfect. Flagg should hate having to answer to Waller. This improves the relationship

@Skwad - I love how Ayer is seemingly doing the relationships so that there's tension between the actors. No one in the squad should like being there with those people. They are there out of necessity only doing good because they are forced to do good.

That's manipulation?

I thought it was just being a good director.
