Possible Concept Art For Rumored SUPERMAN Game Now Leaks

As we know a couple days ago, a leaked gif of a character bio for a Superman game was leaked. While it's possible it could be fan made, now concept art for a WB Games Montreal Superman game has leaked showing off Superman and Brainiac. Click to check it out.

It seems that the DC centered video games studio, WB Games Montreal, definitly has been busy since Batman: Arkham Origins. They are currently behind the upcoming Batman: Arkham Knight DLC called Batgirl: A Matter of Family. A little over a week ago, they posted job describions for an upcoming DC game said to be an open world game that is a "new IP project for next generation game platforms". You can read more about that here. A couple days ago, a gif of a character bio for Superman was leaked that looked to be for an upcoming video game. You can read about that here. Now concept art that is said to be from WB Games Montreal has leaked showing off the Man of Steel and one of his greatest enemies, Brainiac.

Now that the Batman: Arkham series is over, it's unlikely we will be seeing a new Batman game for quite some time. We know NetherRealms may do Injustice 2 but considering how they just released Mortal Kombat X and are currently still releasing DLC for it, it will be a while before a new Injustice game happens. So with Batman done, Injustice 2 likely in the early stages of development, it looks like Superman will be the star of the next DC game series if the concept art is real. It's important to note with SDCC this year, there will be a panel involving DC video games called DC Entertainment: From Page to Screen. The description of said event says "From video games to movies, this panel features a discussion of the DC teams that bring stories to screens". It will happen Friday, July 10th at 4:15PM - 5:15PM in Room 6DE. If WB Games Montreal would announce a Superman game at SDCC, it will likely happen during that panel.

What are your thoughts? Would you be excited for a Superman game? Do you hope it's a remake of Superman 64? Comment below, let me know. Peace and remember...

Loved the Arkham series and would be interested I'm how a superman game would go. I just don't see how it would be challenging let's go with green Lantern or flash it would be more fun

Honestly I think a Wonder Woman game would be much better. One thing, I would think powers would be sort of hard to handle in an arkham style game, we'll powers of Superman's caliber anyways. Now I know WW is on Sups level when it comes to powers but she is much more hands on like Batman. They can tone down some of the power aspect with WW, but still have missions where you get to use them to their full ability.

Superman wouldn't be anywhere near as difficult than Batman. Where as Batman has gadgets, Superman has powers.

Use similar combat buttons like Batman but combat would be different because Supers isn't a marshal arts expert. Stuns could be like a light hit of heat vision.
Use flying mechanics from I would say Rouge Squadron because that was my favorite flying game ever and also take nods from the Batman Arkham.
Having X-Ray vision be Detective Mode. In order for it not to be OP, have all the buildings be made involved lead in them and say Luthor rebuilt buildings that way. Supers can't see through lead.
Use powers like how you use Batman's quickfire gadgets which would only really be heat vision and ice breath.

Superman game isn't hard if you give him enemies that will hurt him.

3 story pitches right here:

Brainiac and his robots

Darkseid invasion maybe which would include Parademons, Granny Goodness, Kalibak, and the female Furries.

Zod opening a portal from the Phantom Zone unleashing all the criminals from there like Last Son.

All of them would be able to take on Superman and hurt him so you don't have to worry about Supers being too OP. Hell we have Kratos out there killing gods and he doesn't come off as OP.

A Justice League game could be great, Warner already have Batman's gameplay but they should continue to work with Rocksteady, Arkham's greatness is their doing, Origins didn't bring anything new

@LEVITIKUZ I know they could handle the powers but I think it would be hard get the feeling of being Superman to work like how Rocksteady did with Batman. I see them grounding Sups in certain situations in order to keeps from having confusing gamplay and mechanics. I could be wrong but I still have my doubts that it would work as well as Batman in the Arkham series.

It's like no one here has ever played Superman Returns the video game! Superman can be done, the Returns game was okay especially for a movie video game.

I'd love a great Superman game! But it does sound a bit difficult to come up with satisfying gameplay for a powerhouse like him.

What would work easier for me would be a game about not-that-good Superman, like we got in Gods and Monsters. Actually that whole darker Trinity would make excellent game protagonists.

I'd still like these guys to do a game with actual superpowers:

Do a Wonder Woman game set entirely on the island of Themyscira.

I agree with SuperDude. A Flash game would be awesome. I know they tried to make one a few years back.

Either way...a good Superman game would be awesome. If game developers think he's too powerful to adapt, then do a Superman game set in the 1940s where he wasn't as powerful. Call it Superman: Golden Age.

To be honest though, I want a Green Arrow game more than anything. Having combat where using his bow and arrows as more than a quick fire weapon, a light tone, and a new environment, could set it apart from the Arkham series but still have similar gameplay and mechanics.

Green Arrow would be awesome as a game.

8 upvotes and counting!

You could have it set entirely on the Island if game developers are too lazy to create all of Star City. Me personally, I think they should go the Arrow route and have it go back and forth between both via flashbacks.

What if instead of a health bar, there were something akin to a power bar, which depletes when you're hit, and when it runs out, there's a cut scene of Superman flying into space to recharge in the sun's corona? Then you go back to the last respawning point. Functionally, it would be just like dying in a normal game, but without the suspension of disbelief. It could also change depending on the challenge - i.e. normal enemies can only deplete you, but some enemies have kryptonite and they can kill you.

I agree this wouldn't work without super-powered opponents. Stopping crimes just wouldn't work with Superman. Though, there could be particular challenges where you have to find creative ways to stop thugs or rescue people without applying too much force and killing them. They could be the game's answer to Arkham-style puzzles.

There is something weird about this Superman, I'm not sure if it's his face or what. Now onto the subject at hand a Superman game could be fun. I'd add even some of the white martian as enemies, this way it teases Martian Manhunter. Hopefully the villain isn't just Lex in his Powersuit. Seeing Parasite could be great.

I hope after this game comes out a Flash game is made next. I'd look at how Infamous: Second Son did the super speed parts, plus how Ciri was handled in the Witcher 3.

With No Man's Sky being possible I don't see why a Superman game wouldn't be. Make a mathematical equation of Earth for the first game then make the universe for the next game.

That would be awesome!

I have faith in you Rocksteady! Make it happen!

They're making games like No Man's Sky and people think there can't be a city big enough for Superman.
Kratos has killed Gods but they still think Superman is too OP for games.
Batman has a tank, can basically fly, and has gadgets and great combat that gets implemented in fluidity, but people think Superman will be too hard to control.
People need to open their minds a little to what has already taken place.

I still think WB Montreal is developing Suicide Squad game but certainly some other WB Games studio might be working on next gen Superman game.

The concept art says WB Games Montreal

Also they are doing an open world game. Suicide Squad doesn't fit open world like how Superman would.

I feel that what is happening is that WB Montreal is developing this Superman game to tie into a Justice League game developed by Rocksteady.

Oh, didn't see Montreal below but I guess a Suicide Squad game is in development in some WB studio, Geoff Johns teased some time ago that SS game is coming.
