In a recent interview with Bryan Cairns over at TVSquad Laura Vandervoot talked briefly about a return to Smallville.
You returned to 'Smallville' to help Clark against this great darkness. Have the producers been able to pencil you in for another episode?
"They have. I'm going to be returning for one good final episode. I haven't read it yet, but I know the general story. It's for the fans, purely for them, because they want to say goodbye to Kara. They don't want to leave her hanging. I'm hoping everybody will be happy."
She also talked about the recent serge of Canadians playing superheros.
Seth Rogen and Ryan Reynolds are anchoring a couple of Hollywood's biggest comic book movies. What do you think is up with all these Canadians playing American superheroes?
"That's true. I never thought of that. Well first of all, Canadians are awesome! I know you agree. Just like the Vs, I've said we're slowly taking over. I'm proud of the Canadians. Ryan Reynolds and Gosling are so great and to be part of the dichotomy of superheroes is pretty special. Besides the fact I'm Canadian, I'm just honored to have played her."
Vandervoot was also asked if she has ever auditioned for any other superhero roles.
Have you auditioned for any of those superhero feature films?
"No I haven't. 'Blade III' was actually on last night and I was watching Jessica Biel go at it. I said to my friend "God, I would kill to do a role like that!" I love the strong women and she's fantastic. And there's the martial arts. It would be a lot of fun to do something that's darker. I could change the hair color and mix it up a bit. I haven't auditioned for any of those superhero characters. I'm not sure if it's a conflict thing."
