Major Smallville Rumor! A fan favorite is rumored to be coming back to Smallville for
all of Season 9.

A few months ago Michael Rosenbaum said he would be willing to return for the last 2 episodes of Smallville, but it seems as though the creative team has a different opinion. I found this article about a week ago in a forum. It seems that sources at the website Airlock Alpha have discovered that Smallville’s creative team is very interested in bringing Michael Rosenbaum back to Smallville for all of season 9.

“While it's not clear whether Rosenbaum has been approached for the ninth season, it seems that some of the ideas floating around the writers room at "Smallville" is that it would make a powerful statement to bring Luthor back into the fold full-time, sources tell Airlock Alpha.”

I know that most of you will agree that this would be the best way to end Smallville, with a Superman vs. Lex showdown. Rosenbaum’s portrayal of Lex is in my opinion the best there has ever been. And if season 9 is going to be the last season then I can think of no better way to end it. If you want to check out the full article at Airlock Alpha then Click Here and let me know what you think.

Listen if you throw enough money at him he'll come back and hell if you throw in a little extra you can probably get him to shave his head.

And to think this was one of my top shows. Where is the rumor that this show is cancelled? lol! Michael Rosenbaum is by far the best Lex Luther I have ever seen. The movie versions make him look like a twit. Michael Rosenbaum on the other hand however made Lex everything he should have been. Too bad they never took that adaption to the movies. -Nuff said-

Sweet!! Michael Rosenbaum is the best Lex Luthor so far. Kevin Spacey was horrible. I hope they actually get Smallville into Clark actually getting a suit.

I totally agree I would love to see that but I would rather seem him start flying first.

Yes Rosenbaum is the best LUTHOR!!! Yea if you put out enough to make him droul, he'll shave his head and stay on Smallville. Heck he'll probly beg for them to make season 10.

yep best Lex Luthor. Unfortunately he won't come back. Also they did throw extra cash at him to return for Season 8 and he wouldn't budge. It would be great if he returned I do agree but its unlikely.

It's been said already, but hands down BEST LEX EVER! I know he had more time than anyone else, but he brought so much depth to the character. Remember that episode (season 1 or 2) with the hostage situation at the Luthercorp building? At the end the Kents were all hugging, while Lionel was figuring out how to spin it while giving Lex a fake embrace, and Lex was staring at the Kents? You could see the Envy and Resentment beginning! Fantastic.

There have been so many classic lex scenes on smallville I don't know if I could pick out any one favorite scene. Although I really enjoy when lex proclaims that he is the villain of the story.
