"The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is directed by Jonathan Liebesman. It stars Megan Fox, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, Whoopi Goldberg and opens August 8.

Reshoots are normal, heck even Thor 2 did some reshoots. I am sure though some fans on this site will make a big deal about this.

Unless they reshoot it without Megan Fox, I won't see it. Critics are gonna take a big dump on this one. Just like they have all of her films.

Re-shoots are not a sign of a movie being a failure. They happen all the time.

The movie looking like shit is a definite sign of it being a failure though.

In all fairness though, I don't wish this movie to fail. I'll give it a chance just because I'm such a big fan of TMNT. But if I don't like it, then I hope everything after it fails as far as sequels.

No, your childhood memories are still very much in tact. New versions are designed to create new childhood memories for a new generation. Because you'll die alot sooner than new generations, therefore maintaining your childhood delusion doesn't matter.

Fyi, the old cartoon is not near as great as nostalgia glasses make it seem. While I am a lifelong fan, I also welcome new interpretations, because that's what keeps brands alive.

Re-shoots happen all the time, it's not really news or a sign or anything.
You're making an entire movie blind, not knowing the finished product and a lot of the time a scene they thought they got right, didn't work when they finished editing or re watched it.

The women in those movies are always my PROTAGONISTS, that's why I will watch this movie because her and not them. But nothing beats Faora in MOS, I wished she would come here and kick my ass, just so we can "work it out" later.

So with reshoots does this mean the movie will get pushed back yet again? Everything that has been shown about this movie or rumored just doesn't get me excited at all. From gender and race-switching Burne Thompson to whitewashing Shredder to The Foot Clan looking like ex-League of Shadows operatives who stole Immortal masks, the ugly looking Turtle designs and unnecessary clothes to the change to the origin story, to the possibility Splinter might be April's real father and that the Turtles might actually be teenagers who were experimented on and turned into Turtles vs. pet shop turtles exposed to ooze.

The ONLY thing that looks cool to me is the Turtle Van.

I understand re-shoots are part of normal film-making but a third of the movie? Nothing about this movie inspires any confidence in its success, only its failure!
