Seth Grahame-Smith Departs THE FLASH Movie Due To "Creative Differences" With Warner Bros.
The Flash movie has lost its director, as Pride & Prejudice & Zombies scribe Seth Grahame-Smith has decided to part ways with Warner Bros. Will the studio keep his screenplay though?
Work on the Fastest Man Alive's movie is about to slow right down as The Flash no longer has a director! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Seth Grahame-Smith has decided to depart the project over "creative differences." That's a reason everyone from Edgar Wright to Michelle MacLaren have given for not working on superhero movies, but seeing as The Flash would have marked Grahame-Smith's directorial debut, perhaps the studio got nervous about putting such an important project in the hands of someone so inexperienced? After all, they need all of these DC Comics adaptations to be a hit after the mixed response to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Who knows, but the trade does mention that The Flash will keep Grahame-Smith's script, something he wrote while working off a treatment by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. Whether or not you believe that's good news will likely depend on how much you enjoyed the likes of Pride & Prejudice & Zombies and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. With a releae date of March 3rd, 2018, Warner Bros. has plenty of time to find a replacement. Ezra Miller is set to star as this version of Barry Allen and will be seen in Justice League next November. How do you feel about this news?
