The Flash was yet another DC film that was plagued with the same villain problem as those films that came before it. While many can make the argument that General Zod was the antagonist, he was really only in the film for a short period of time, and his beef was against Supergirl.
Dark Flash, who was the future version of Young Barry Allen we met in the film, was a letdown of a "villain" in several areas of his character. Even though the character looked unique being covered and stabbed by kryptonian weaponry, Dark Flash served as a sincerely futile attempt as a Flash villain.
Once again, the character looked cool at least, and that of course was no more evident than of his costume design -- which we now have a new behind-the-scenes look at showing the costume department creating it:
"The practical creature costume was made from urethane and foam latex pieces. We were so lucky to have the incredibly talented Sherri Hazzard working with us, who really led the way with techniques to assemble this suit. We used velcro and hook & eye loops to create a centre back opening and our amazing team worked so hard to blend the seams to create a flawless finish before it was handed over to the Paint team and finally lighting magic added to the chest plate."
Did you like Dark Flash in The Flash film?
Worlds collide when the Flash uses his superpowers to travel back in time to change the events of the past. However, when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, he becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation. With no other superheroes to turn to, the Flash looks to coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian -- albeit not the one he's looking for.
The Flash stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / The Flash alongside Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, and Michael Keaton. In the film, Barry travels back in time to prevent his mother's death, which brings unintended consequences.
