Hot Toys is well-known for producing high-quality (and pricey) 1/6th-scale collectable action figures, and if you're at all familiar with the company, you'll know how realistic those tend to be.
Recent efforts based on the MCU's Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch, for example, look eerily like Tom Holland and Elizabeth Olsen and DC fans were recently delighted to learn The Flash's Supergirl is getting her own figure. Unfortunately, the full reveal isn't what most of them were hoping for.
As you can see below, the costume looks terrific, but the head sculpt leaves a lot to be desired. There have been comparisons to Holland and even Matt Smith, with the majority of collectors now refusing to pre-order the figure until the issue is fixed.
Also of note is that it doesn't come with any sort of heat vision display option and, given the price tag of $265, that's simply not good enough for those who buy these things. Hot Toys did recently take that Spider-Man 2099 feedback on board and are changing that figure's suit, so we'll see what happens.
Take a closer look at The Flash's Supergirl below.
Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.
That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian...albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
The movie stars Ezra Miller, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdu, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, and Michael Keaton.
The Flash is now playing in theaters.
