Jaime Alexander Talks About A Possible Romantic Relationship Between Thor & Sif!

The actress behind 'Sif' in Marvel's THOR talks about the possibility of a relationship blossoming between her character and Chris Hemsworth's Thor, saying that she'd 'love for that to happen'...

Speaking with Movie Web, Jaime 'Sif' Alexander was asked about the possibility that a romantic relationship would pop up between her character and Thor in a THOR sequel. She said that she'd 'love' for it to take place, but goes on to say that nothing's been made official yet. She also expresses her interest in seeing the character Beta Ray Bill appear in a future installment.



"Yes. I would love for that (romance) to happen. I don't know what the story is going to be just yet, and nothing has been made official, but the hope is that it will be made official, and I would love to explore more of that. And, in future endeavors, I would love to see Beta Ray Bill, or something like that. I think that would be really cool. Like you said, there are so many avenues to go down, so many endless possibilities."

Alexander's then asked about the possibility of her appearing in next year's The Avengers, to which she says, "They could call at the last minute and say, 'Hey, we need you for this.'".

The Avengers assemble in theaters May 4th, 2012, while the THOR sequel strikes theaters July 26th, 2013!

Now, I'm not bitching, but Is it just me or did Thor kinda go down in suspense, thrill, and adventure when he went to Earth, I was like "WOW ASGARD!" Then he went to Earth and we met Jane, and the annoying chick from Nick and Norah, and then it was "Umm... this is rally sucky" I mean the fight scenes and what Thor went through, Loki, not being able to lift the hammer, etc was cool, but I think that's why people who didn't read the comics didn't really like it, well people I talked to, it kinda pulled a Green Lantern for me, if you know what I mean. But yes, for Thor 2, no Earth, and a Sif + Thor relationship a must!

well he is supposed to fall fro sif not jane right? only donald is in love with jane but they didnt include that as part of the Thor movie so i think the only way for him to get with sif is for Jane to die

I could see a small fling but not a full relationship cause if Natalie Portman is contracted for a complete thor trilogy I wouldnt see the point in it

Would like to see a Sif-Thor-Jane love triangle in Thor 2 where Thor feels torn between Asgard and Earth. This is a classic angle from the comics, fits well with the overall Avengers arc, and should be a great vehicle to build drama in this film and set up a part 3 (Surtur for me, btw.)

This brings up one of the problems i had with Thor, they rushed their childhood and didn't get to explore the love between Thor and Sif. But hopefully we will see it down the road, and yes Beta Ray Bill would be AWESOME to see on the big screen.

Of course the movie wasn't gonna be all in Asgard. Thor needed a reason to be attached to Earth and sympathise with humans so he could join the Avengers, and that's Jane's function.

hmmm...if this were to happen, they should've given some hints about their "special" relationship, or at least, how she's into him, without getting anything real back from him. or a hint of her jealousy when Thor and Jane kissed..anything to show Sif's crush on Thor.

without any of that, then to start one in the sequel would feel rather "forced", unless, if they have Jane seriously injured and Thor seeks comfort in his female childhood friend, then something grows out of that...maybe THAT i can buy. but, i still say, they shoulda had this in the first movie.

There is no way they are getting rid of Jane. Natalie Portman brings in the non comic book fans and that is way too good to get rid of. Thor destroyed Captain America overseas and Natalie Portman had to be a good reason for that. Maybe not the only reason but she certainly helped. I can see them having Sif show she cares about Thor but I can also see that somewhere in a sequel Sif will have a choice of whether to save Jane's life or let her die and will choose to save her because she knows that Jane makes Thor happy despite wanting to be in Jane's place with Thor.
