There weren't any main cast members of the Marvel sequel sighted, however, Chris Hemsworth's ‘Thor’ stunt-double, Bobby Holland Hanton, and Christopher Eccleston's ‘Malekith’ double returned to The Dark World set today. And action with the Accursed villain and his Dark Elf army feature in new photos (via @MisterGreenwich) and scene details (via Expederest), while videos (courtesy of @Nailbiter via BadTaste) show the titular hero going airborne seemingly at their force.

(Spoiler Warning)“All the rubble and stuff is from a spaceship that crashes into the grounds. It’ll be added with CGI later on. So will more of the damage caused by the crash. The wing also destroys the pillars on the left (in this picture), that are covered with blue. Malekith leads an army of elves over the rubble, which is where the ship would of crash landed. On Monday, they were filming a scene that was supposed to be set outside Charing Cross underground station. I assumed this meant that Greenwich was just doubling for other areas as normal. However, it’s actually also doubling for itself! From what I remember, there are two worlds occupying the same space, and it has something to do with the Prime Meridian Line (or timeline as the guy insisted on calling it. I vaguely remember them saying it has a mystical or magical aspect about it.”

Marvel Studios’ “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo & Anthony Hopkins as Odin, “Thor: The Dark World” is directed by Alan Taylor, produced by Kevin Feige, from a story by Don Payne (credit not final) and screenplay by Christopher Yost and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (credit not final) and is based on Marvel’s classic Super Hero Thor, who first appeared in the comic book “Journey into Mystery” #83 in August, 1962. “Thor: The Dark World” is presented by Marvel Studios. The executive producers are Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso, Craig Kyle and Nigel Gostelow. The film releases November 8, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

In addition to “Thor: The Dark World”, Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on more iconic Marvel characters including “Iron Man 3” on May 3, 2013; “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” on April 4, 2014; “Marvel's The Avengers” sequel (title TBA) on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!

Heres what im thinking- Earth and the dark world occupy the same space(btw great idea Odin) Malekith breaks free (perhaps from the tesseract weaking the barrier) and his face reflects being able to walk in both. Goes to Thanos, is promised Asguard and the return of his world in exchange for the gauntlet. Any thoughts?

Didn't see pix 2-4. Nor the last two images. Paddings looks a little messed up. Wonder if they used same thing for Cavill's suit.
