Marvel One-Shots are short films featuring Clark Gregg as S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Coulson and serve as expansions to the Marvel cinematic universe. We have already seen The Consultant which was a part of the special features on the Blu-ray release of Thor. Now check out a tease of the awesomely titled A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Thor's Hammer below..

Marvel Comics One-Shot: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer from David Myrick on Vimeo.

The short film picks up after Agent Coulson leaves Tony Stark’s lab in Malibu during Iron Man 2 and occurs before he arrives solo at the crater site in Thor. Many thanks to Rimbreaks for the heads up, and David Myrick for posting (link to his Vimeo channel below)

You can see the entire short on the Captain America: TFA Blu-ray release this December.

I am really loving this character. I'd really like for them to bring the character into the Marvel universe proper aka 616. He'd be great as the badass, but quirky agent.

@MarvelWeiner, I don't think they're trying to make them look dumb, as opposed to showing that even though they have all these supers around them, they (coulson) are still a pretty normal dude.
Who is totally about to wreck on those guys(:

Anyone notice that he left his car with the gas still filling up the tank? Can't do that in my state of Wisconsin. Those shield agents think they can break the law whenever they want!

I hadn't heard of those one-shots before. But after I read of it here I've just watched the first one, The Consultant, and it was sooo great. Can't wait to see this second one in full length. Marvel is doing great with its cinematric universe.

DC should take a leaf out of Marvel's book.

I want to see how bad coulson will kick their asses.

Classy and with style.

Then we'll take both donuts and pay the girl just as nothing happened.

He simply doesn't care. Like that door breach in IM1: "you might want to stand back" - boom!

@dionysios if i remember correctly, the invaders (or they may have been called the all winners squad) was around before the JLA. as for individual characters interacting, i have no clue.

I think some people need to rewatch Jonah Hex, Batman & Robin, Catwoman, and Ant Bully to remember what a bad movie is before bitching about Green Lantern having imperfect CGI.
