Steven Spielberg spoke with Total Film about the sequel for the acclaimed adaptation of the Adventures Of Tintin books by Hergé, staring Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, and a stellar cast of various other actors. Spielberg stated that Peter Jackson would direct the sequel, as per their previous agreement since Spielberg directed the first film with Jackson producing. Spielberg said that Jackson would start work fairly soon:

Peter, of course, is going to do it right after he finishes photography on The Hobbit. He’ll go right into the 31, 21 days of performance capture.
We’re not telling the world what books we’re basing the second movie on yet.

When asked if it could be The Calculus Affair, which was hinted at by producer Kathleen Kennedy and others Spielberg was a bit dodgy:

We haven’t decided that yet. It could be that. I like The Calculus Affair. So it could be.

We have completed a story outline now. We have a writer on it. I’m just not declaring what it is. It will be more than one book, but no more than two.

So it looks like the Tintin sequel is moving along. The first one was visually stunning and, in my opinion, very good. What do you think? Excited for Tintin and Snowy to ride again? Sound off below!

The Calculus Affair would be cool but i would like to see either The Seven Crystal Balls and Prisoners of the Sun or Cigars of the Pharaoh and The Blue Lotus.

I actually really liked it. It was a fun movie. Didn't blow me a way but some good performances and a good story.
