BUMBLEBEE Star Hailee Steinfeld Will Make You Care About TRANSFORMERS Again With This New Photoshoot
Moviegoers have soured on the Transformers franchise after The Last Knight but this must-see new photoshoot will make you feel differently about upcoming spinoff Bumblebee. Hit the jump to check it out!
A couple of years ago, Paramount Pictures assembled a writers room to come up with some new ideas for the Transformers franchise. After The Last Knight disappointed at the box office, it's now not clear what's in store for the main series but the first spinoff is on the way in the form of Bumblebee.
Putting the spotlight on the fan-favourite Autobot, the movie will have a lower budget and be more family friendly in nature and it's going to be very interesting seeing if that pays off for the studio.
The cast is led by up and coming actress Hailee Steinfeld and she recently posed for Marie Claire magazine. Needless to say, it's easy to see why Paramount would want to build a new franchise around the talented actress and you can find the full gallery of images - along with details on Steinfeld and Bumblebee - by clicking on either one of the buttons below. As always, stay tuned for more.
Steinfeld's breakout role came with True Grit, a movie which landed her a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the Academy Awards. From there, her career too some unexpected turns.
Finding fame with the likes of Ender's Game and Begin Again, the actress later landed a key role in the Pitch Perfect franchise and that resulted in her signing with Republic Records as a singer!
Steinfeld's debut single "Love Myself" topped the charts and went Platinum in a number of countries. She's since released a number of singles all while still pursuing a successful acting career.
Perhaps Steinfeld's biggest role yet will be Bumblebee, the Transformers spinoff revolving around the fan-favourite Autobot which is set to serve as a prequel to Michael Bay's series of movies.
Not a huge amount is known about the movie but with a release date of December 21st, later this year, set by Paramount Pictures, we'll no doubt start seeing much more from this one soon.
WWE Superstar John Cena will also show up in Bumblebee, one of his biggest roles to date as he makes the transition from wrestler to Hollywood star just like his old rival Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
It's thought that the Bumblebee movie will head in a very different direction to the main Transformers series as it will tell a more personal tale as opposed to over the top action and special effects!
With Bumblebee set to open between Aquaman and Mary Poppins Returns, it's hard to predict how well it will perform at the box office and Paramount is going to have to promote the hell out of it.
