The movie features some of the best special effects ever seen, the CGI far better than that in Revenge of the Fallen. It is an A.D.D. satisfying, Red Bull fueled roller coaster ride of robot violence, aiming mostly to satisfy our need to see chaos and destruction in 3D. The 3D is amazing and never distracting, I can only compare it to the visual quality of Avatar. The action scenes are many, often happening at the same time in different places, but they are coherent and framed beautifully. The movie deserves many awards for it's achievements in visual effects.
The story is decent, liking the fact that it indulges the government/alien conspiracies to the full extent of ludacrisy, or truth, who knows? The acting is decent, Sam's a little wound up, but it's ok, and his girlfriend, whatshername, is very sweet and likable. The humor is there, eye rolling at times, but restrained, making it less distracting from all the death going on.
The only major complaint I have is Bumblebee, he has his moments, but they could a done more with his character. Overall, Dark of the Moon is a fitting conclusion to the Michael Bay helmed Transformers trilogy.
